I don't know what to write, so have a deleted scene from last chapter:

"Hey Dice!" Roman waved him over to him, Virgil, and Remus, "Come over here, we wanna talk to you."

Dice nodded, walking over to the others, "So?"

Roman smiled widely, "If you break Remy's heart-"

"-We'll rip off your legs and feed them to you!" Remus picked up, giggling.

"Clear?" Virgil asked, smirking at the boy.

Dice nodded quickly, "Ten outta ten clear!"

~~Present day ~~

"Hey Dee," Patton said, grabbing his keys, "I'm gonna run to the store, it'll only be a few minutes, do you think you'll be okay home alone?"

Dee nodded, "I think so."

"Okay. Here's a phone with my number on it if you need to call me." Patton handed the child a flip phone, kissing the top of his head.

Dee giggled, "I'll be fine Papa!"

Patton chuckled, "okay okay! I'll only be about ten minutes, okay?"

"Mhm!" Dee nodded.

Patton laughed and walked out the door. Dee heard the car start, then drive off. He turned back to his cartoon, humming along to the Steven Universe theme.

Ten minutes passed and the episode ended. Dee looked at the door, expecting to see Patton walk in, but nothing happened.

Another episode started and ended and Patton wasn't back yet. Dee started to get worried. Did Patton leave him? Was he gonna be alone again? He didn't want to be alone again.

Dee started crying. What if Patton didn't come back? What if no one came back? What if he was alone again?

"Dee?" Patton asked, walking in, "oh kiddo, what's wrong?"

"Papa!" Dee sobbed, launching himself at Patton.

"What happened?!" Patton hugged the boy, "are you okay?"

"I, I thought you were gonna l-leave me!" Dee cried into Patton's shirt.

"Oh Dee, we won't leave you." Patton whispered, "you're not going to be alone again."

"Mhm." Dee sniffed and nodded.

"I'm sorry I took so long." Patton sighed, carding his fingers through the boys hair, "I had to wait for a surprise and it took longer than I thought."

"I-its o-okay." Dee rubbed his eyes, "I-I wasn't s-scared."

Patton giggled, "of course you weren't. Now, do you want to see your surprise?"

Dee nodded. Patton smiled and ruffled through the bag and pulled out a small cake decorated with gummy snakes.

Dee gasped, "It has a snek!"

"I think you mean snake kiddo." Patton laughed.

"But Virgil called it a snek." Dee said, looking up at his dad with wide eyes.

Patton chuckled. He'll have to talk with Virgil later about teaching Dee things.
