Everyone had a pet. Virgil had a spider, Roman had Remus, and Remy had Fish. But, Dee doesn't have anything... yet.

~~Present day ~~

"Papa! Papa!" Dee cried, running up to Patton.

"What? What happened? Are you hurt?" Patton asked, rushing over to the eight year old.

"He's sick!" Dee held up a little, two headed snake, "Can you help him?"

Patton hummed, "I'm not sure. I can try though."

Dee handed the snake over to Patton. The dad looked at the snake, finding nothing wrong with him on the outside. Patton scanned the snake and chuckled lightly.

"He's not sick Dee." Patton smiled, "he's just hungry."

"Then let's feed him!" Dee gasped, "we have chips and-!"

"Dee!" Patton laughed, "snakes don't eat chips!"

Dee tilted his head, looking at his dad with heterochromatic eyes, "what do they eat then?"

"Um, well..." Patton stammered, "some eat mice, some eat bugs..."

"What does he eat?" Dee asked.

Patton hummed, "it depends on what snake it is. Lo would know..."

"Or we could look it up on the computer." Dee laughed.

Patton blushed slightly, laughing a little, "yeah, we could do that too."

Dee skipped over to the computer, typing a description of the snake.

"He's a yellow tree snake!" Dee giggled.

Patton smiled, "he matches your scales."

Dee laughed more when Patton gently booped his cheek with the snake, "Papa! He's cold!"

Patton giggled and handed the snake over to Dee. They boy held the snake gently.

"I'm gonna call him Snek!" Dee grinned proudly.

Patton chuckled, "Fits right in with Susan and Fish in the strange name department."

Dee giggled, carefully hugging Patton, "Thanks Papa. I love you."

Patton smiled and hugged back, "I love you too kiddo."
