16 Expect The Unexpected

The view of Taehyung's car could be seen right in front of their dorm. He let out a sigh as he recall the silent ride when he drove Choa back home. He's confused, if she's just mad or really feel jealous? Or maybe both? He was thinking about make a call to her when suddenly another unexpected call came in.

"Hyung? I'm just arrived back at dorm. I'll-"

"Can you go to my room and bring some spare clothes for me? I'm at hospital right now. Cindy's father fainted earlier at home and there's no way I'm gonna leave her alone here." Taehyung's jaw dropped, surprised of the sudden news from Yoongi.

"Oh, my. I'm sorry to hear that. Sure, I'll take everything and heading to the hospital soon." Taehyung replied while getting out from his car.

"Thank you, Tae. And, if you can, please bring Choa along too. I think Cindy need her as well." Another request from Yoongi makes Taehyung halted on where he stood. His brain stopped working just by the mentioned of her name.

"Tae? Taehyung? You there?"

"Ah yes! I'll call her after this and bring her along with me."

"Alright, see you soon." after Yoongi hung up the call, Taehyung staring at the screen that showing her name once again.

Those thoughts make a comeback to his mind. He wonder, will Choa pick up her phone if he call her? Does she still mad at him? He doesn't even know if he has to be happy or worried. He's just, lost.

"Ah, fck it!" He shrugged off his thoughts and pull a call to her while continue heading to his bedroom.

The others were probably doing their own things in their room since he meet no one on his way to his room. Taehyung decided to tell them later on.

"Yes, Tae?" Choa's voice successfully drag him back to his sense.

"Uh, yeah. Sorry if I bother you again but Yoongi hyung just called me. He asked me to bring spare clothes for him and bring you along to the hospital. Cindy's father fainted earlier and now they're in the hospital." He tried to explain it slowly because he doesn't want to surprise her.

"Oh my God! She must be so surprised. Cindy loves him a lot." He could feel her worries and he could totally imagine her worried face too.

"Get ready, I'll take a quick bath and pick you up in about 20-" as Taehyung saying this, he's already on his way to the bathroom.

"No, that's okay, Tae. I can go on my own. Y-"

"I insist." He whispers and bite his lips for his bold statement. "It's pretty late by now and I don't like the idea of you wandering around alone. So, wait for me. I'll be there." he hang up the phone even before she managed to say anything. 'Hope you didn't mess up anything this time too, Kim Taehyung.'

Taehyung couldn't keep his calm while waiting for Choa appearance in her apartment's parking area. He didn't wait for her confirmation earlier, so he was worried if Choa went there alone. She left him on read after Taehyung texted her that he's there to pick her up. Then, all of his worries faded away once she make it into his passenger seat.

"Y-You're here..." He greet her almost instantly.

"Someone insisting, so... I don't have any choices." She decided to tease him and watch his smile turn into a slight pout. An adorable one.

The silence still haunting the whole ride to the hospital. Taehyung was hesitating to bring back the topic earlier even though he was dying to know about her feelings towards him. While Choa have tons thoughts running through her mind. Of course, she's thankful for Taehyung's company, she's very comfortable with him but for now, she didn't want to expect much.

"Yoongi, where's Cindy?" Choa asked once she spotted Yoongi sitting on the chair outside the hospital room.

"How about her father? Is everything okay?" Taehyung added while handing Yoongi his spare clothes.

"Thank you, Taehyung and Choa, you too. Thanks for coming." Yoongi flash them a weak smile before continue, "I should be honest with you two, but keep this from Cindy." He whisper slowly making those two even more nervous. "It would be hard to pass tonight, the doctor told me. Her father has lungs cancer and it's his own request to keep it from his daughter. So I have no choice but to do as said."

Yoongi answers makes both of them gasp. Choa could feel her eyes getting wet, even though she rarely meet him but Mr. Park is indeed a good person. He helped Choa a lot and always friendly to everyone. It just never cross her mind that he will leave this fast with this kind of way. It's unbelievable. She feel sick at the thought. Luckily, Taehyung was fast enough to notice and support her by holding her waist.

"But Cindy deserve to know hyung. It will hurt her even more if she's the last person to know." Taehyung argued, completely disagreed with the idea.

"I know, Tae. You don't know how bad I wanted to tell her but it's one of his last wishes, what could I do about it?" Yoongi let out a long sigh. He never looked this stress before.

"One of-- there's another one?" Choa notice his answers and he nod before look at both of them.

"That's why I need you two here. Help me. Distract Cindy and accompany her when I'm gone, okay?"

"Wait, where are you going, hyung?"

"You'll know about it. I'll text you later, please keep checking your phone." Yoongi said and turned to Choa, "And Choa, please help me take care of her. Talk to her, I bet she need it the most now. Just don't leave her alone. I'll be back soon."

"You don't need to beg, Yoongi. She's like my own sister. I'll take care of her. Don't worry and do anything you have to do. Just come back soon, we all know who she needed the most." Choa pat Yoongi's shoulder slowly. Both Taehyung and Choa give him a sincere smile before he turned around and leave to God-know-where.

"I'm sorry it's late but I need wedding rings."
