18 Bad Guys



CINDY POV

"Cindy, they're here." Choa's low whispers catchs my attention. She quickly stand up and bow at them like she usually do. Of course, who else beside my so-called family.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY BROTHER!? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SUPPOSE TO DIE! NOT MY BROTHER!" Her voice screaming to my ears and I close my eyes, didn't dare to move, even an inch or maybe I just can't move. By the corner of my eyes, I know Yoongi has stood up and cover my frame from that crazy woman, my so-called aunt, Chaeyoung's mother, my father's younger sister.

"I don't know who you are but I wouldn't let you hurt her and keep her name out from your lips when you don't know anything." I heard Yoongi's voice and I feel bad for him. Normally, I wouldn't let them talk to my beloved ones, especially someone like Yoongi. I just want them to stay out my lane, out of my life because they deserved it. They deserved nothing from me and I don't want anything from them.

"W-Who is this?" I could heard her stuttering voice, probably asking the others about Yoongi. "Who are you to speak to me like that? Stay out from my family issue! Ever since my brother take her in, everything become such a mess. She bring the bad luck to the family do you kn-"

"I said, keep her name out from your lips." I heard Yoongi's low and dangerous voice and he took few steps closer to her.

No. I have to stop him.

AUTHOR POV

Before you managed to sit up, Taehyung moved and hold Yoongi's arms preventing him to cause any scene. While Chaeyoung also move to calm her mother down. "It's enough."

"Mr. Park kept his lungs cancer by himself for a while now. Doctor Lee and Yoongi are the only person who know about his disease. It's his own request to keep it from everyone especially Cindy. She's as surprised as all of you. If you want to know more, you could talk to Doctor Lee." Choa speak up while you stay there and inhales deeply.

You doesn't have to see those face with your eyes in order to imagine their annoying face. They've been against the idea of your father adopting you. They never like you since day one. Of course, they just pretend to treat you good in front of your father's face but whenever he turned around, they were cursing you like there's no tomorrow.

Now, they don't have anything to hide anymore. You're very positive that they will do something but you can't think of any of it now. Your mind were still in a mess and you have no energy to deal with them.

But can you avoid them forever?

"I don't believe you!" Chaeyoung's mom's voice could be heard as she screamed at Choa. "And you Cindy! I can't believe after everything my brother has done to you, this is your way to pay him back! He gave you money, job and house but you're so greedy that you want to have them all?? So that's why you killed him? Over my dead body, you ungrateful kid!"

"I told you to stop-" Yoongi's palm almost landed on her cheeks before you hold him back. "Don't, Yoongi."

"Cindy, go back there."

"No, Yoongi. Let me talk."

"I said, go back."

"Well, well well. So he's your partner in crime huh? Both of you has been planning his death in order to get Park's family wealth? What an interesting story!"

"You mo-" Yoongi was about to fight her before Taehyung get in between them once again before he managed to say anything,

"So are you going to see your brother right now rather than talking about your family's wealth here? You know, it sounds like you're the one who want the wealth more than anyone." Taehyung's words magically shut her lips as she glare at them one by one before pull Chaeyoung and the rest of others to see her brother.

"I'm sorry Cindy, I-" Yoongi turned around to apologize to you but you were faster to cutted him off.

"Keep it, Yoongi. I don't need to hear anyshit." and with that, you turned your heels and walked away.

"W-What did I do wrong? I-I just-" Yoongi were so surprised at you giving him cold shoulder.

"Give her some space, Yoongi. I'll follow her to keep her safe." Choa quickly followed her but got pulled back by Yoongi almost immediately.

"No, you stay here. I'll follow her. Tae, please accompany her and... Pray for us." Yoongi muttered hesitanly at the end before heading to wherever you're going.

"Thank you for calming the scene, Tae. They're always like that to Cindy." Choa sighed as both sat back on the chair.

"I knew that Cindy was adopted and I met her father once and he's so so so nice. I never thought that his other family were like that." Taehyung complained as he sat down beside her.

"Money, Tae. Money blinded people from everything, family, truth, and love." and Taehyung watch Choa closely as she said those words. Somehow he could feel there are background story behind her statements and Taehyung wonder about it a lot. He wanted to know more, about her.

Meanwhile,

"Who is that young man?"

"It's Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung from BTS. I heard that Yoongi is dating Cindy."

"Call reporter Go."

"Mom, what are you going to do?"

"We'll get some headline news."

FLASHBACK ENDED

That's how the reporter got those news. After finishing the funeral, the reporters crowded up in the entrance which makes it harder for you to get in the car. Your so-called aunt spreaded the rumour about you killed your father because he wanted to hand the company to your cousin, Park Chaeyoung, the real Park. Another rumour spice up that you use your privilege to help Yoongi on his career.

You don't want Yoongi nor his group get any trouble from this mess. So you told him to stay away from you for awhile. Of course, he refused them. He wanted to stay with you all the time, especially after the recent event. But what you expect, you're Cindy Park and you're too stubborn, even for Min Yoongi.

When the rumours reached the public, both of you and Yoongi keep arguing to solve the things. You insist on keeping his name out of the case so it won't affect him or his group but he insist to confirm the relationship. He doesn't care about his image because he believe the truth would eventually come up but you can't take the risk.

"Are you deaf? I told you stop doing stupid things and mind your own business."

"And you're my stupid business."

"You're just so stubborn. Can you at least think before you act? Why are you so childish?"

"Call it what you want, Yoongi. I'll do what I want."

You remember the last fight before you walk out on him. Now you think of it, you feel bad for those words that you shouted at him. You weren't suppose to do that when you know that he's just doing that to protect you. Guilt start to built on your chest but these people don't show any mercy on you.

"Is it true that Min Yoongi have some affair with you?"

"No." you immediately curse yourself mentally.

"Tell us more about both of you?"

"Who will take over the Nayver's company?"

"Is that how BTS's career rocketing under your power?"

No, you can't stay still. Not when they're trying to drag him into the mess. 'Maybe I am childish and stubborn, Yoongi but I love you and I can't let them hurt you.'

"I don't have anything to do with him. So please take him out of my case. Thank you."

Choa closed the door once you safely get inside the car and run half a lap to get in from the other side.

She keep eyeing from time to time until you feel her hand on yours. "Don't worry, Cindy. Bad guys won't ever win."
