~Chapter 43~ Naming Ceremony

It has been two days since Alya gave birth to the baby boy. Today she was going to get a discharge and was about to come home. Dhruv's parents had also arrived yesterday to meet their grandchild and to attend the naming ceremony in the evening.

Everyone was at Dhruv's house busy doing the preparations for the mother and the baby. Dhruv and his mother were both at the hospital completing the formalities to bring Alya home while the rest of the squad were busy in decorations and the elders were doing the preparations for the puja.

"Arey duffer pink nahi sab jagah blue hi lagana hai." Nandini spoke annoyed at Karan who was putting pink ribbons on the walls.

"Blue balloons lag gaye toh ribbons toh pink chalenge na." He said nonchalantly.

"Nahi! Get another shade of blue but only blue. Samjha!" She said in a warning tone and left from there. Karan made a face while everyone laughed at his situation.

Workers were also working so lot of hustle bustle was going on in the house. Nandini was standing at the side counter talking on phone with someone and was arranging the table with gifts. Suddenly Manik saw something, seeing which his eyes widened. He shouted Nandini's name but she was so engrossed in her work that she didn't hear him. He ran towards her shouting which caught everyone's attention.

"Nandini!" He shouted and grabbed her hand pulling her making them fall backwards with Nandini on top of him. As soon as they fell, they heard a loud thud sound of something hard falling. It was a ladder which the workers were using for the decoration which was going to fall on Nandini. Manik saw it and saved her at the right time.

They got up and straightened themselves. Everyone rushed to them and was relived seeing them okay.

"Nandini! Tum thik hona? Kahi lagi toh nahi?" Karan asked cupping her face as soon as they got up.

"Main thik hoon Karan." she said, her gaze not leaving Manik's.

Before Nandini could say anything, the whole family came by their side and started to enquire about her.

"Tu thik haina Nandu?! Dikha kahi lagi toh nahi. How can you be so careless! Dhyaan kaha tha tera. Agar Manik nahi dekhta and kuch ho jata toh." Mahir said all in a go as he got so scared seeing the scene in front.

"Bhai! Relax I am prefectly fine. Kuch nahi hua hai. Aaplog please chinta mat kijiye." Nandini said assuring everyone.

"Thank God! Jo Bhai ne dekhliye and time pe he reached." Cabir said.

"Exactly! Thank You Manik Beta" Raman said agreeing with Cabir.

"Arey Papa! Aap thank you kyun bol rahe hai. Shaddi kar raha hoon aapki beti se toh use protect karne ki responsibility bhi toh meri hi haina. Kyunki inn madam se toh aapna khayal thik se rakha nahi jata hai." Manik said and Raman hugged him feeling overwhelmed.

"Achha chalo ho gaya! Now I am fine. Let's get back to work. Dhruv kabhi bhi Alya ko leke aata hoga and please don't say anything to them about this incident. Okay! Now chalo chalo." She said and again everyone was back to work.
