Beep beep.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. My companion on every single morning, the very thing that helped my start my day.
I got up and did today what I do every school morning: brushed my teeth, took a shower, got dressed and started my journey to school on foot.
Today felt like it was going to be a good day. I mean not good good day, but in terms of a Monday, it was going well so far.
But then I felt a drop fall. I looked up at the sky.
Not now.
But nothing I could ever say could stop it from coming. And then it started.
The rain started pouring and I hadn't taken an umbrella along with me.
School wasn't very far from here so I started running. Hoping I would get there without getting too wet. But that would be impossible. At the rate that the rain was pouring I would arrive at school completely drenched.
That's when I heard someone shouting my name.
"Sky!"
"Noah?"
He wore a black t-shirt and some blue jeans. He was dressed pretty simple and yet he still looked good.
He had a big white umbrella in his hand that prevented him from getting wet.
"Come on. My car is there"
I nodded and followed him to his car. We got in and he started it. The engine tumbled to life and then we were moving.
"How did you know I was here?" I gave him a skeptical look.
" I wanted to pick you up for school but then your mom told me you had already left. So I was going back to my place when it started raining. I saw you getting drenched and decided to help you out."

"Oh, that makes sense. Wait, decided?"

"Well, yeah. I could have just seen you and driven right past you after making sure you saw me see you."

"You would never do that."

"You sure about that?" He gave me a wink.
I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but laugh. Then the car rolled to a stop.

"Well this is me."

"This is you."
He reached into the backseat and got his grey hoodie. The fabric looked soft and on the center there was a picture of a small hamburger person that said "Why do hamburgers go to the gym? To get better buns!" Perfect for Noah.

"Here, you should take it."

"No, it's fine."
He put it on my lap.

"Take it."

I sighed and a small smile forming on my lips.

"Thanks."

I took it and got out of the car. I got into the school building and went straight to class.
The school day went by surprisingly well, and soon enough it was time to go home.
I was getting out of class when someone stepped beside and started walking along with me.

"Hey."
"Hi"
"I barely saw you today."
"Yeah, we didn't have classes together today and I didn't see you during lunch."

Luke scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I was busy with something. Anyway, how did you manage to make it to school without getting drenched. It was raining like crazy this morning."

"I know right! I got out of the house and started walking to school and then it started raining, I thought I wouldn't make it without getting completely soaked but Noah picked me up from the side of the road and dropped me off."

"And he gave you his jacket."

I gave a "how did you know" look and he just pointed to the jacket I was wearing. I didn't even realize I was wearing his jacket, it smelled like him, like the ocean. I wanted to sniff it right there but I restrained myself because Luke was right next to me.
We got out of the school building and he offered to give me a ride back to my house and I said yes.
The drive was silent, but it was a comfortable silence. I couldn't stand it though, silence was silence and I didn't have anything to say so I just turned the radio on.
A familiar tune was blasting from the radio and Luke and I looked at each other and started singing like mad.
We eventually rolled to a stop in front of my house.
