" I love you"
"But what about our friendship?"
I chose to be your friend
But falling in love with you was out of my control.

*Warning* I went way to out of my comfort zone at the end and cringed every time I added something. Be careful with what you're about to read. You have been warned.
I have to see you.
My mind was going crazy. What did he want to say? What did he want to do? Was it good? Was it bad? I didn't know. And the fact that I didn't know is what made my heart beat faster, my anxiety sore and my brain run a thousand miles per second. I didn't know what was going to happen and there was only one way to find out,
Yeah, sure. When and where?
6 pm at the park.
Okay, I'll see you then.
See you then beautiful.
For something that seemed urgent he sure did set up the time rather late. But I didn't let that bother me. I got up and went to the living room and was immediately greeted by a strong, magnificent and delightful aroma. It was so heavenly that I found my feet being lifted from the ground and myself being carried to the kitchen by the smell, like what you would see in the cartoons. Standing by the stove was my amazing, to say the least, mother, cooking an amazing breakfast. Pancakes with syrup and some fruit on top were wonderfully plated on the table, along with an omelette that looked straight out of a cooking television show. My mom turned around and her face lit up when she saw. I greeted her and gave her a big ol hug. I thanked her for the, putting it lightly, amazing breakfast. After she was done cooking, we sat down and I immediately devoured the food. We caught each other up like friends who hadn't seen each other in years, which was true. We hadn't seen much of each other because mom had to work later than usual this week. So we only saw each other in the mornings.
I volunteered to do the dishes, after that humongous meal that she cooked the least I could do is the dishes. I took the dishes to the sink and went to get my phone and my headphones, chores were always better with some music. After I got the two, I put on a song and slipped my headphones on. Different beats swirled in my ears, angelic voices completed the beats perfectly. Different instruments playing in the background that blended in perfectly. The harmony in the song represented my harmony with the dishes. Eventually I finished washing the dishes. I carefully removed my headphones and set them on the table. I pulled my head up to face the clock on the wall, it was now 11:10. I wish time flew like this in school. A subtle ping pulled me out of my thoughts. My phone was telling me that a new message was waiting for me. I picked it up and the sender read Jen. I unlocked my phone to see the message she had sent.
What's good babe, get dressed. I'll pick you up at 12:00. xo.
I scrunched my nose after reading the message. Bold of her to assume I didn't have plans. She wasn't wrong though, I mean not until 6 anyway. I shrugged and typed out a small reply of agreement. I went to the bathroom and got into the shower. I turned faucet and hot water poured down my back, comforting and smooth. The steam tinted the glass door of the shower, covering all of it what made it look like the fog that covers the night. After I was done, I made my way to my bedroom and in there walked to the closet. A thousand outfit ideas popped up to my head as I scanned through the clothes on the hangers. One settled in my mind and I decided to try it on. I wanted to go with something simple, I didn't want to call any attention to myself. I probably would because I would be stand beside one of the most beautiful ladies I had ever seen, my friend Jen.
