BATMAN'S POV

After we narrowed down one suspect we needed to hunt the other two down. I decided to call the team over headquarters so we could get the job done.

"Team get over the headquarter quickly." I said to their respective destinations .

"On it . " Everyone replied except for Flash .
Whatever.

"Sir , I've bought the files you asked for." Robin my assistant spoke.

"Yes, put them over there. Thanks." I spoke running a stimulation over the computer.

"Everyone is here sir." Robin spoke and left the room.

I went to our main meeting room . Except for Barry everyone was sitted in their seats and were talking.

"Where's Flash?" I asked.

"He says he's sick so he won't be arriving here." Green Lantern spoke.

"Sick? Why didn't he inform here then?" I asked.

"I think regarding yesterday's situation its better that way." Superman said folding his arms.

I cleared my throat.
"You're better than that."

"Moving on since we've already tracked one of our suspect it's time we hunt the other two so we can come to a conclusion." I said.

Everyone nodded.

" So we're moving on teams . Superman , Diana you'll be following suspect 1 and Aqua man you and Martian would be following suspect 2. It'll be a 24 hour spying so take precautions and report back all the things to me immediately . " i said.

"But what about Hal?" Diana spoke .

Always concerned about Hal. I envy him .

" We have another task. But we will be joining you shortly . " i spoke.

" All right now lets go." Superman said .

They all went out and Hal and me were behind.

"What's the real reason?" I asked Hal.

"Huh?" He looked confused.

"Barry isn't someone who refuses to come because he's sick. He loves his job. So why isn't he here today?" I asked.

"He is sick why would I lie?" He said.

"If you weren't lying your fingers wouldn't be drawing circles just like they are drawing now." I said.

He looked at his fingers and kept them behind.
"Hal..... You know I don't like repeating myself." I said.

" He's hungover. He drank a lot last night after he dropped Diana off." He said.

Somehow that got me angry .

"He's a Justice League member for god's sake. How could he be so fucking careless? "

"You know how he is . Alcohol is always his solution. Besides he said he and Diana didn't be in good terms." He spoke.

"Good terms?" I asked.

"Yeah he said he had pissed her off." He said.

"I've been thinking about this a lot and maybe he doesn't have what it takes to be in the JL team." I spoke.

"What are you talking about? You cant fire him." Hal spoke.

"I can ." I said with a serious tone.

"Just because he's trying to mend things with your ex doesn't mean you can kick him out. Put your work and personal life differences aside for the sake of peace . You're acting like a child here." He said.

"Do you want to get kicked out too?" I asked making a serious face.

"Bruce ..... " he stammered.
