Meeting Connie!

Wow...that movie...sorry garnet but I think your tied with someone else as my new favorite character I think as I jot down notes and thoughts in my black journal, I draw the characters in it as well. I put my journal back in my pocket and take out my pink one that is titled ‘Nora’s diary back off’ and write a couple of the songs from the movie as well and put That journal in my pocket too. 
I was outside when Steven came out with a blue bike and a red helmet on his head, “Steven is that your bike from years ago? You still have it?” I ask looking at his blue bike he took out on the sand. “Huh uh, just wanted to take it out for a ride” he responded, “in the sand?” I asked, I tried to ride a bike in sand but it didn’t go well for me.. wait a minute! Is this..! I look around the beach and sure enough there was a girl with glasses reading a book! This is where we get to meet Connie, one of my goals in one of my journals I keep with me was to become friends with her. I have one journal where I note about the future and the show that I keep in my pocket at all times and a normal diary like journal that doesn’t mention them being a show and the future just Incase amethyst snoops..
then the ground shook a little causing Steven to let go of the bike and roll on the ground.
i hear the rest of the gems come up “I don’t think they’re earthquakes, they’re too frequent” pearl says to garnet and amethyst. The bike stops in front of them and Steven and I run over to it.
”yo Steven gots a bike! Where ya heading?” Amethyst questions 
“Just out for a ride!” He says in a slightly nervous tone, “in the sand?” Pearl asked confused, Steven nodded “yep” and trolls on away. “Hey let’s go inside and watch him from the window” Amethyst says to everyone with a mischievous look on her face, I nod “okay” knowing I was gonna do that anyway.
“Well I don’t see anything wrong with that!” Pearl says following us with garnet tagging along. We all head inside and look out the window next to the door. We see him stop in front of Connie and start talking out loud facing his bike, “uhh.. steveman talking to his bike in front of some girl?” Amethyst raises her eyebrow in confusion, “probably talking out loud about his bike to gain her attention” I say to clear the confusion up. Pearl started to look confused also “if he wanted her attention couldn’t he just say hello to her?” She says out loud only to gain a shrug. “Aw does Steven have a crush?” Amethyst says putting her hands on her cheeks with a goofy smile on her face , I laugh “that’s nice I could set up a little play date” pearl claimed, “but what if she hurts his feelings?” I ask looking at them only to see garnet in the back summon one of her gauntlets without saying anything. “Oh garnet put that away, we would never!” Pearl scolded , me and amethyst snort , “she ain’t lying though” amethyst shrugs , “amethyst!” Pearl sighs , “we will just separate her from Steven so he’ll never see her again” pearl says smartly, “how would we do that?” I ask , amethyst slowly summons her weapon “no amethyst!” Pearl scolded making her put the weapon away, we look back to see Steven fall and run back over here throwing his helmet away in the sand.
”here he comes”
steven opens the door and shuts it behind him breathing fast. He turns his head and notices us by the window 
“whaddup?” 
But we dismiss that and immediately start talking about the girl. “Who were you talking too?” Pearl asked smiling “huh?” 
“That girl” garnet states, “you saw? She’s just a girl I know, but she doesn’t know me” he said being all awkward . “We’ve never talked..” he finishes. Amethyst gasps and smushes his face with her hands “you like her!” She claims grinning, “I like everybody” Steven responds back playfully pushing amethyst back. 
“Let’s set up a play date! I’ll write up an invitation and work out a schedule, oh! We’ll have to find out her favorite kind of tea” pearl starts to get excited on setting up a schedule and invitations. But garnet dismisses her, “No. just talk to her” she bluntly said. 
“Okay, but you guys can’t watch this time! It will mess up my funky flow” he tells us.

”funky.. flow?”
amethyst, pearl and I say in unison , “we won’t” garnet says adjusting her glasses. “Alright” Steven quickly runs to the freezer and takes out a red glow stick bracelet then runs back out the door “what is that?” Amethyst asks but Steven just responded with “nothing!” .
wait a second..Steven protects Connie from a big rock from falling on her by accidentally summoning the pink bubble! And Steven doesn’t have the gem! What if he can’t do it this time!? “You know what? I’m gonna meet her too!” I say quickly and speed walk towards the door. “But what about his funky flow?” Amethyst asks, 
“it’s better to stay here so Steven can talk to her” garnets adds. I shake my head “aw well, bye!” Panicking I just straight up bolt out the door and run to Steven and Connie. 
the gems who were still inside looked at each other in confusion. “Wonder what that was all about..” amethyst says tempted to look at them out the window again but decided not to.
 Steven was right about to go up to her and I run even faster knowing the rock is gonna fall any second now. I hear a crack from up top and Steven hears it too and runs to push Connie out of the way but he didn’t make it enough time to move out of the way.
come on bubble please work! I jump and cover my body over them to take the hit either way, my gem glowed from under my rain coat and formed a bubble, just in time for the rock to hit the bubble and not us. 
“Nora? What are you doing here?” Steven asked as he helps Connie up, I laugh nervously “well I wanted to tag along too! Sorry about your funky flow” I whisper the last part to Steven and then turn to Connie “hello, I’m Nora” I introduce myself, “hi I’m Steven” Steven doing the same, Connie readjusts her glasses “Connie” , we look at the bubble “so how long does it usually lasts?” She questioned, Steven looked at me questionably too, I try and concentrate but it didn’t go away, “uhh this is my first time doing this aaand it doesn’t want to leave..” I say with a crooked smile, “well I’m sure we can get out of here cmon” we followed steven back to the house but it failed “ah right I forgot I told them not to watch me” 
“I’m sure there’s another way” 
we tried at the big donut and the harpoon gun. But I was kinda scared about getting hit by a roller coaster even if it’s just for kids. “What do we do when the bubble pops?” Connie asks “we’ll be free!” Steven answered, “and then what?” She asks worried, “we’ll...be free” Connie looks at us, “this is a bad idea” it really is a bad a idea but the outcome of it is worth it.
steven points “here it comes!” 

“Wait!” But it was too late Steven already jumped infront of the ride and we got hit with it, mr smiley notices and stops the ride making us fly into the ocean, we scream as we plummet to the sea floor, we land with a thud and I make sure if everyone was okay to be sure.
“Are we at least near the shore??” Connie asks getting scared, “yes we are, we’re fine. We just got to keep heading  and that direction and think of something else, we’ll be alright” I reassure her, she nods feeling a bit calmer and we roll to shore, but then we hear a noise and see a gem worm like monster and Connie starts to freak out. 
“Its fine! See they like the red stuff” Steven says as we watch the gem monster eat some red seaweed but suddenly it plunges under the earth making the ground crack causing us to fall, this time I make sure Steven doesn’t hit his foot on connie’s Face by making him ... hit my face. “Ow!” 
“Sorry Nora!” 
“It’s fine, every thing is fine” but that made Connie snap 
“everything isn’t fine!” We look at her worried “Connie..”
”you keep saying that but you both don’t know what your doing! Now we’re gonna suffocate or starve at the bottom of the ocean and only my parents will notice because no one else cares about me!” She tears up 
“I’m going to disappear without making a single friend..” she says crying, making me almost cry too, aww . She crouches down and covers her face, Steven takes out the bracelet from his pocket and cracks it making it glow bright red, he show it to her gaining her attention “we can be friends” Steven says while I nod, smiling at her. “I saw you at the boardwalk parade last year, you dropped your bracelet I picked it up but then I couldn’t find you. I saved it in the freezer so it would last longer Incase I saw you again” he said crouching down, I do the same. Connie gets up a little, “oh you were the people on the car wash! You had soap bubbles in your hair and had a bunch of hoses wrapped around you” she laughs , we laugh along “i was supposed to be a skrub brush”, “and I was just a bunch of hoses” we all laugh again. 
“I’m sorry Connie” Steven apologizes as he puts the bracelet on Connie’s arm, I sigh, “no , I’m sorry I don’t know how to get this unbubbled and it my fault we’re here” I say taking them blame since technically Steven wasn’t the one who bubble us , it was me, gosh I should have just used the shield...! 
But Connie dismisses it “no it’s okay, I’m having fun.if you weren’t there I don’t know what would have happened.” She’s says. “Yeah it’s not your fault Nora and she’s right you saved us! Thank you sis” Steven agrees, thanking me. I blush in embarrassment, “aw shucks, now I don’t know what to say” I get a warm feeling in my heart from their kind words and then suddenly the bubble pops, I grab Steven and Connie’s hand and swim us back up to the surface since I was faster. But when we do go back up the water starts to shake and the worm monster attacks us causing us to Land on the shore. Oh I have had it with this monster! I’m starting to get annoyed.“Connie please give me your bracelet and run to safety with Steven” I say holding out my hand ,
”oh okay!” She gives it to me and her and Steven run to safety “be careful!” I nod back at them, I lure the monster to the poles under the deck and tangle it as Steven and Connie go behind me and start holding each other’s hands,awww, I summon two shields and throw them like disks at the corrupted gem a little poorly but they still hit and the worm poofed into just a gem, I sigh in relief that I successfully poofed the poor corrupted gem. The crystal gems run up to us to see if we were ok and asked what happened.
“She was incredible!” Connie exclaimed with diamonds in her eyes, “yeah she was! You were amazing Nora! “ Steven says smiling, garnet goes and bubbles the gem and puts it away in the temple by taping it And walks back.I scratch my head and smile back embarrassed since I just stole Steven’s idea from the show giving Connie her bracelet back “It was nothing” I walk up to garnet,amethyst and pearl and stand next to them, “now that’s all over , this time I won’t ruin your funky flow” I say smiling. “So are you gonna introduce us?” Amethyst teased leaning on Steven and pearl walked behind her “Steven was so excited to meet you! Right Steven?” Pearl asks, steven laughs nervously and awkwardly nods, I stay back when garnet started to walk up the amethyst and pearl and picks them up , “hey don’t mess with his funky flow” we start walking away from Steven and Connie and all I hear was 
“funky....flow?” 
And then nervous laughter that followed. 
I smiled, this season may be boring but I can’t wait when the excitement really begins..
