The day was quiet, hot, lacking in stimulus.  Oh how Alice truly despised days like these. He longed for those dreary, rainy days, that so many but Alice despised. The rain and the cold gave him comfort, stimulus. He wasn’t left alone to his thoughts. Alice began to feel tired. As he lie down on the soft, heavenly white bed he felt sleep wash over him as he closed his eyes.

Alice awoke to the sensation that he was falling. He opened his eyes to see doors as he fell down the tunnel. At first he panicked. “I’m going to die,” he thought, “and if I don’t die I’ll surely be crushed on the ground below.” Alice squinted in an attempt to see the below but it was too dark and all he could see was black. “Fucking great.” he muttered under his breath. “I am going to fucking die!” He had shouted, his words echoing off of the walls of the tunnel. Alice had been falling for quite some time now, 15, perhaps even 30 minutes. “What an odd tunnel.” Alice thought. “I have been falling for quite some time now, if not forever.” As time went on Alice began to doubt that this was even a tunnel, it must be space he thought. Alice squinted his eyes as he could the end of the tunnel nearing. He closed his eyes tight, tears swelling, in anticipation for the messy death that awaited him below.
