Chapter 1

(Marie's pov)

"Marie? Marie wake up!" I could hear a voice say. I wasn't quite sure who's it was yet since I wasn't fully awake. I groggily opened my eyes and looked in front of me. My bestfriend Anna was sitting on the edge of my bed with a huge smile on her face. "Anna what do you want?" I said rubbing my tired eyes. "It's 8am and I want to go back to sleep" I complained. "Ok then i'll be fast!" She said. "Alright well you know John from chemistry class right?" She said. I nodded in response. "Well...he asked me out on a date eeekk I don't know what to wear and i'm so excited!" Anna said jumping up and down slightly on my bed. "Wow i'm happy for you Anna" I said putting a smile on my face. "you have to help me pick my outfit out though Marie!" Anna said smiling. I sighed "can we do that later" I said laying back down and pulling my fuzzy purple blanket over my eyes. "fiiiiiiineeee" she said getting up from my bed. "see you later Mar!" As soon as she left I closed my eyes and fell right back to sleep.

~3 hours later~

I awoke for the second time this morning but except this time I was actually fully awake. I stood up and stretched then headed to the bathroom to take a shower. I turned on the hot water, undressed my self and got in. When I was done with my shower I got dressed in a cute pair of skinnies, a purple off the shoulder shirt and a pair of black TOMS. I then blowdried my long blonde wavy hair. I decided I would leave it natural for the day. I then applied minimal makeup, just the basic eyeliner and mascara. I looked in the mirror satisfied with myself and headed down stairs.

My mum was sitting at the kitchen table reading a book "hi mum" I said to her. She looked up and replied "oh hello darling" "I'm just going to the coffee shop is that ok?" I asked while grabbing my coat and some money. "Thats fine hun have fun" My mum said before looking back down at her book. I smiled, I really did love my mum.

The coffee shop was a short distance from my house, everytime I wanted to go I just walked. I arrived at the coffee shop a few minutes later, I loved it here it was small, adorable and wasn't too crowded. I walked to the front of the shop and stood in line. I zoned out for a few minutes before I finally made it to the front. "Hi what can I get you?" The worker said. I looked up and noticed he was probably one of the cutest guys I had ever seen. "Oh um just a large hot chocolate please" I said smiling. "Of course babe" he said. He turned around to go make my hot chocolate and I couldn't help but blush. A few minutes later he returned with my large delicious hot chocolate. I took out my wallet to pay before he stopped me "Don't worry about it, your hot chocolates on the house" The cute coffee boy said. "Aw wow um thankyou" I replied picking up my hot chocolate and heading to a near table. After a few minutes of sipping my drink in silence the cute brown haired worker came over. "I'm George" He said sticking out his hand for me to shake. "Hi i'm Marie" I said grabbing his hand. "Mind if I sit?" He asked. "Not at all" I replied taking another sip of my hot chocolate. He smiled. "So where are you from Marie?" he asked politely. "Just around the corner, I walk here almost every day, I'm suprised I haven't seen you yet" I said to him. "That's cool, I only live a few blocks away. And that's because it's my first day" he said proudly. We sat and chatted for a few more minutes before I thought it would be a good time for me to leave. "Sorry George but I have to go, I hope we can talk again" I said standing up from the table. "Yeah it was great meeting you and of course we can, um just give me your cell number?" he said. I nodded and grabbed his phone from his hand. "annnnnd done" I said smiling and handing him back his phone. "Bye George I'll see you soon" I said waving. I walked out of that coffee shop with the biggest grin on my face.
