(Marie's pov)

I walked into my house and leaned against the closed door frame, I had had an amazing night with George and I couldn't wait to hangout with him again tomorrow. I smiled and headed into the kitchen to get something to drink when Anna popped out of no where "MARIE!" she said loudly. "Holy crap Anna you scared me!" I said after trying to recover from the fright she just gave me, she just giggled and replied "sorry, so how was your hangout with coffee boy?" she asked grabbing a cup from the cabinet. Anna basically lived at my house so she always helped herself to anything she wanted. "It was great actually" I said, "we'll probably be hanging out again tomorrow." I said grabbing a can of pepsi from the fridge. "how'd your date with John go?" I asked while taking a giant gulp of my pepsi. Anna shrugged "eh it was average" she said. "just average? why what happened?" I replied curiously. "we didn't even makeout or anything" Anna said putting on a frown. "Anna you don't need to makeout with someone on the first date!" I replied. "Yeah but its always better that way" She said skipping into the living room and jumping on my couch. I sighed at my crazy bestfriend.

"So wanna watch a movie?" Anna said while plopping her feet up on my couch. "Actually I was just thinking about going to bed so I could go to the coffeeshop early tomorrow" I said to Anna. "Ohhh I see, because you wanna hangout with your boyfriend" Anna said. "He's not my boyfriend" I said to Anna sternly. "Ok whatever Mar no need to get pissy" Anna said raising her hands in defense. "Sorry Anna, you know I'm just not ready for a boyfriend yet" I said to her calmly. "Well does George know that?" She replied. "By the looks of it he likes you alot and maybe wants to be something more than friends" Anna said sitting in a criss cross position. "No he doesn't" I replied, Anna actually had a point. "Then tell him all you're looking for right now is friendship" I sighed loudly. "Fine i'll do that tomorrow but i'm going to bed now goodnight" I said while stomping up the stairs and into my bedroom. The thing is i'm not sure if I wanted to tell George I just wanted a friendship with him, it might make things awkward.

After sitting on my bed staring at my ceiling for a few minutes I finally got my pj's on and cuddled into bed.

~The next morning~

I woke up around 9am and did my usual routine of a shower, and makeup. I then grabbed my jacket since it was colder than usual and headed downstairs. "hi mum!" I said to my mum who was sitting at the table reading a book like usual. "Off to the coffee shop?" she askedwhile taking a sip of her tea. "yup!" I said. "ok have fun she replied" I smiled at my mum and ran out the door. I zipped up my jacket and stuck my hands in my pockets then started walking to the coffee shop.

I opened the door to the coffee shop and was immediently greeted with a burst of warm air. It felt so good after being outside in the chilly streets. I walked into line and peaked my head over the person in front of me I couldn't help but smile because I could see George was working again. After a few minutes I was at the front. "Why hello George" I said smiling. "Hey Marie" He replied. "What can I get you?" he asked. "Hmmmmmm i'll take a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and make sure you don't forget the extra part" I said smiling "Haha alright I promise I won't forget Ms. Bossy, and isn't that what you got last time?" he said while picking up a coffee cup. "If you must know George hot chocolate is the only thing I get and having extra whipped cream just makes it a million times better" I said laughing slightly. He smiled at me and turned around to make my hot chocolate. "Well here you go Marie" He said placing my hot chocolate in front of me. "thankyou George" I replied. "Hey I have break in a few minutes wanna go for a walk?" George asked me. "Sure" I replied. "I'll just go and sit by the fire and wait for you" George nodded and started serving the other customers and I went to the warm fire and sipped my hot cocoa.

"Ready to go?" George said coming up from behind me. "I nodded taking the last gulp of my drink and standing up. I then followed George out of the coffee shop. "Wanna go to the park?" He asked me. I nodded while staring into his amazing eyes. He smiled. I shivered slightly and he noticed. "Are you cold?" George asked. "ye-yeah just a little" I replied studdering because of the cold. "Here" he said while giving me the biggest hug. "You're so warm" I said. "You're actually pretty warm too" George replied. We stood on the sidewalk hugging for atleast 5 minutes, people were giving us weird looks but I could care less at this moment. "Can we walk back to the shop? It's alot colder than I expected" I said looking up at George. He was a few inches taller than me so I basically had to look up to him. "Sounds good to me" George said. As we were walking back George grabbed my hand softly, I didn't hesitate to hold his back. I looked at our interlocked fingers then up at him and smiled.

When we entered the coffee shop we both headed to the back where the fire was. I looked around for two seats but there was only one. "Hmm well you could just sit on my lap?" George offered. "Yeah that's fine" I replied. We grabbed the last seat and I scooted onto George's lap where he then put his arms around my waist. "Soooo Marie" he said. "Soooo George" I replied mimicking him. I giggled. "Your a strange girl you know that" He said smiling. "Pft being strange is cool ok" I replied sticking my tongue out at him. "Hey i'm weird too so it's alright" He replied. "Well then I guess we'll just have to be weird together" I said looking into his eyes and smiling. "Marie I really like you" George said quietly. I didn't have time to respond and I didn'g know if I wanted too because before I knew it George leaned in and planted a small soft kiss on my lips.

I pulled away slowly "Um George I have to go" I said looking away from him. "Uh alright?...See you later?" he replied sounding confused. I stood up from his lap quickly and walked quickly out the cafe door. I admit i did like kissing George but I just wasn't ready for another boyfriend yet, not after what happened with Damian. i felt bad for leaving him hanging like that but we just couldn't be more than friends. "Marie! wait!!" a voice said behind me on the streets. I turned around to see George running towards me. I stopped and sighed. "what George?" I said trying to sound annoyed. "Why did you run away like that after I kissed you, I thought you liked me too?" He asked, I could hear the hurt in his voice. "George we just can't be together" I said I could feel a hot tear streaming down my cold cheek. "And why not?" George said looking down at the cement sidewalk. "I just-I can't explain George please it's complicated." I said trying to talk some sense in him. "Marie I think I love you..." He said quietly so that I could barely hear. I smiled slightly "George I....
