Another thing I love about Bianca is that she is very supportive.
One morning I was sitting at the table waiting for breakfast. She was doing the cooking for once instead of me. I usually do it.
She handed me a plate with omelt and bacon.
"Do you want coffee?"
"No, may I have orange juice?"
She got a glass, pouring orange juice in the glass for me, she handed it to me and ruffled my hair.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
There was silence for a few minutes between us while we ate.
"Do you want to go back to teaching?" She asked me.
"Yes, what brought this on?"
"Do you remember what you said during aftercare a few days ago?"
"Vaguely."
"During aftercare, you mentioned you wanted to go back to teaching."
"I remember now. Are you upset that I said this?"
"No, I am not, in fact, if teaching is what you want to do then I say go for it."
"Why are you so supportive?"
"Life is too short, if you want to do something then do it."
"What do you say if I want to apply to a teaching job here?"
"Is that what you really want to do?"
"Yes, I'm tired of the distance between us, even if it is only three hours."
"Let me guess when you miss me it comes in waves and on those nights you are drowning?"
I laughed.
"Something like that yes. But I can say it a little less dramatic, may I?"
She nodded her head as she ate a piece of bacon.
"If I had a flower for every time I think about you and how much I miss you, then I would be walking forever in an endless garden."
"Smooth one." She said with a smile.
"Shall I say another?"
"No, I have one. If you think missing me is hard, then you should try missing you. It's really hard, believe me, I should know."
I chuckled.
At least she said she missed me too.
"I'm going to apply for a teaching job here, if I don't get it then I'll stick with the part-time job I have right now until 2020, after that I'm going to start looking for a teaching job. 2020 is the latest, I'm not going to wait to go back for another few years. Are you okay with this?"
"I am. You have my full support."
A few months later I found out that I got the job.
I was hiking when my phone started going off when I answered it I was informed that I got the job. I quickly raced down the hiking trail and rather than taking my car to drive to her workplace I ran.
I kneeled over trying to catch my breath when I walked inside.I could tell I had scared her.
"What's wrong? Is someone hurt?"
I shook my head.
Once I was finally able to speak I said."I got the job."
"Really?"
