Meek walked in with a food bag from Popeye's I got excited I sat up and he gave me my food
"Where's your food?" I asked
"I ain't hungry" he said
"So you on a diet now?" I asked
"Nah nah" he said
I stuffed my face with food
"You feeling better now?" He asked and I nodded
"What really happened?" He asked
"Well I had this sharp pain in my abdomen I thought I was having a miscarriage"
"Where was my mom?" He asked
"She was home she didn't even bother to help me and you weren't responding to my text" I said
"That doesn't sound like my mom, she'd never hurt a fly and she has finally accepted you into the family" he said
I rolled my eyes at his statement
"So you're saying I'm making this up?" I asked
"No baby"
"Then what are you saying Meek?" I asked with an attitude
"Maybe you don't remember correctly" he said
"I'm the one whose in hospital I'm the one whose life was at stake so why would I lie about your mom?"
"I ain't say you lying' Nic stop twisting my words" he said getting aggressive
"I think we should just find our own house cause it seems like I'm gonna have the longest pregnancy living with your mom"
"I can't afford to buy a house right now I gotta save money for the kids"
"I'll get a job too so we can save more money and still have money to buy or rent a house" I said
"Why you so desperate to have our own house?" He asked
"I know I'm not welcomed at your home and we need more room for the kids"
"We'll make a plan Nic just focus on getting better" he said
"Why are you avoiding this conversation?" I asked
"I ain't avoiding this conversation I don't want you to stress" he said looking away
"If I knew this was gonna happen I would've listened to my parents" I said
"What do you mean?" He asked with a frown looking my direction
"Nothing" I said looking away
