Jakes POV I get out of my little apartment that me and my mom live in. I jump on my skateboard and go to school while I'm doing that I'll tell you my life story. It's just me and my mom. My dad left when I was a kid and never came back. He was the one working that good paying job. Once he left we had to move into a run down apartment the only thing we can afford. My mom works two jobs at the grocery store and a coffee shop down the road. I work at a local diner called Newman, it's really just to help my mom out getting ahead of the rent. I finally get to the school and it's already the second month . I strap my board on the back of my bag and head to my locker. I run my hand threw my hair as a bunch of girls pass me and smile. I get to my locker and throw my bag in there. I grab my one binder and pencil and head to my first class. I sit in the back and put my head down as I wait for the bell to ring. I hear the bell ring and that's the last of the noise I hear.
Te- mr Paul J-... Te- will one of you boys wake him up ?-I got it
I get woken up by a slam on the desk. I slowly raise my head to see tanner the popular kid.
T- aww did homeless boy get punched for stealing things
He points at my eye that's black. I came home late last night from the diner and got into a fight because I wouldn't give him money.
Te- that's enough tanner, thank you T- I got you
Of course everyone stares at me and now people know that I don't have that much money. I get through this period pretty slow and make my way to another one. I get stuck behind a couple people dealing drugs. This one goes pretty fast as I don't know very many people to look at me and make things awkward. I run to my next class as I'm late because I needed my text book. I run in the class and the teacher watches me walk to my desk. I watch the clock tick as the time goes.
Te- Jake J- ... Te- Paul J- huh Te- come up and do this math problem ?- he can't he's to dumb Te- that enough guys
I walk up and do the problem. I walk back to my desk and throw the piece of chalk at his head. He stands up
J- come on chance hit me C- will do
He goes to punch me but his friend pulls him back. I laugh at him and walk back to my desk. After a bit the bell rings and I'm on lunch. I put my books in my locker and grab my bag. I throw it over my shoulders and walk outside. I walk to the back of the parking lot to see her. I run my fingers through my hair and walk up to her. She leans off her car and meets me half way.
J- you look sexy in your little skirt and tie E- *sighs* Jake your eye
Erika hugs me and I left her chin up and kiss her.
E- what did you do J- I walked home from work and I got into a fight E- you know I told you that I can drive you home J- I wasn't gonna make you come get me at two in the morning E- if I came and got you you would be hurt J- rik don't stress it. I'm fine we are all good
I hold her hand as we walk on the sidewalks.
E- are you hungry i went to go- J- I told you not to buy me anything E- I know but... J- your just trying to help, I know but I got everything is all under control by yours truly E- *giggles* your coming over tonight, right? J- did you ask? E- Jake I told you a billion times They don't care. They've known you for two years coming up on our third year. J- I'm just making sure
We get back to her bmw and I push her against the drivers door. I put my hands on her hips and hers go on my forearm. She reaches forward and presses her lips on to mine. She goes in for another one but I put her bottom lip in my teeth. I let go and I smile at her
E- I hate when you do that J- that's for your own sake. I could have sex with you right now and the junkies here at this school would see E- would you kiss me more at my school? J- we are really having this conversation again? E- yes J- babe that's different I would be going to a fancy private school, I would see you all the time. Here you have a dump, a public school where you get watched for everything you do
She puts her hands on the waist of my jeans.
J- plus you wouldn't want to see me in khakis and a dress shirt would you? E- I would, you would look hot J- so I don't now? E- *smiles* you do, I love when you wear your jeans and shirts
I look at my phone and it's almost the end of her lunch.
J- you better get going pebbles E- I hate that name J- *chuckles* I'll see you later E- I love you J- love you too
I kiss her and She gets in the car and I start walking to the school. I look back and wave. I head inside and go to the cafe. I sit at an empty table thinking about what I should get Erika for our anniversary. Whatever it is I'm gonna have to work more. The bell rings and I head to my locker putting my bag a away and grab my things. I go to my last class.
