Erika's POV
I walk upstairs after eating to see Jake sleeping on the chair. I check the time 6:46pm. I sit on his lap sideways and wrap my arms around his neck. I put my head on his shoulder and I shut my eyes. I feel his arms wrap around me.

1 hour later

Erika's POV
I wake up to kisses being places on my nose. I scrunch it up and I hear Jake laugh softly. I open my eyes and he has the biggest smile on his face

E- what's up with the smile
J- I don't know your just too cute

I get off of him and stand in front of of him

E- want to shower with me?
J- yea

I walk into the bathroom and get into the shower. Soon I feel hands on my waist. I pull him under the water and I turn around. His blonde hair turns brown.

Jakes POV
I slip on grey sweats and socks. I lay on her bed waiting for Erika to come out of her closet. She comes out in booty shorts and a tank top. She stands at the bottom of her bed

E- I'm hungry let's go
J- where
E- the kitchen

I get up and grab her hand. She leads us downstairs where no one is. We get into the kitchen and she pulls out fruit and jumps on the counter. I stand in front of her with my hands on her thighs. We both eat some and we go back upstairs. She turns on the tv and lay in bed.

Next day
Jakes POV
I get up at 5:30am and I roll out of bed. I go in my bag and put jeans and a shirt on. I throw all my things in my bag and I put my shoes on. The clock hits 6 and i have to leave to get to school on time. I walk up to Erika and give her a kiss on the cheek

Whispers
J- I love you

I grab my board and make my way downstairs. I'm was about the leave the house when Karen calls my name

K- Jake here. I made you breakfast and lunch for you
J- thanks

She hands me two English muffin with eggs and cheese. She also gives me a sandwich. I leave the house eating my breakfast. I skate up the driveway and I jump the fence again. I skate my way to school getting there a little bit early. I get off my bored and I pick it up. I'm about to get into the school when I hear someone calling my name. I turn around and see the popular guys.

T- Jake I saw you with a private school girl yesterday
J- yeah,so?
T- who was that
J- my girlfriend
T- gold digger
J- what
T- only the rich people go there
J- so?
T- your just using her to get money
J- fuck off
T- you haven't denied
J- because it doesn't matter what you think
C- the homeless kid-
J- I'm not homeless
C- stop lying dude
J- if I was homeless I wouldn't be here

One of the other guys grab onto me. I pull myself away and I go into the school with them following behind me. They get distracted when a bunch of girls go to them. I get to my locker and put my bag in there and I take out my book. I have to leave at lunch so I can go to the diner. I walk to my first class and chill there till the teacher comes.

Lunch

Jakes POV
I grab my bag and head out. I drop my boards on the ground and skate to Newman's. I got there and I go into through the back. I put my bag in the lounge room and I grab my hat and put it on. I grab my apron from the hanger and I grab a note pad and head into the front where there's only one family that is eating. It's usually busy later on in the day.

Jakes POV
It's 2:35am and I'm about to leave. I'm just closing up. I usually work more hours to get more money. I grab my bag and lock the door. I throw my board on the ground and get on. I skate home and but I get stopped by a cop

C- what are you doing out late
J- I'm on my way home
C- from where
J- Newman's. I help my mom out with paying the bills and stuff
C- get home safe
J- I will

I skate all the way home and I get into the  stairwell. I run up the stairs and pull my keys out. I get to my door and unlock it. I get in without waking my mom up. I get into the shower and after I'm done I go lay in bed. I check the time 3:25 and I have to wake up in three hours to get to school.

Jakes POV
I wake up at 6am and I put on jeans and a shirt. I grab my bag and strap my board on it. I go out into the living room to see my mom.

J- hey mom
P- morning Jake
J- are you okay you don't look good
P- oh...no I'm fine
J- mom
P- jake I'm fine I promise
J- if you need anything you can call me
P- okay
J- bye mom
P- bye hun

Pam's pov
Jake leaves out the door to go to school. I sit on the couch in pain as my muscles cramp up. I haven't eaten in like 4 days. I went to the doctors and it turns out I have chronic kidney disease. To get this I had polycyctic kidney disease. This haven't gotten harder to do, I get shortness of breath. I really don't think I can work for much longer
