Jakes POV
We all sit at the table and everyone gets their food. I don't touch mine

Whispers
E- you okay?
J- yeah

I put my hand on her thigh and she puts her hand on mine. After a bit everyone finishes and me and Erika go outside. We hold hands as the snow falls. I bend down and pick the snow up and we back away from each other

E- *smiles* Jake don't

I throw it at her and it hits her. We go back and forth just throwing snowballs at each other. Erika tried a snowball and it hits me in the face. I fall to the ground on my back and Erika comes over laughing. She stands over top of me with me in between her legs. She sits on my stomach and wipes the snow from my face.

J- it was funny huh?
E- it was

I flip us and roll Erika in the snow. We both laugh and I sit on her stomach.

J- is it funny now
E- yea

I go down and give her a kiss. I stand up and pull her up with me. I wipe the snow off of Erika and I put my hands on her waist. We both smile

J- you're hot
E- you tell me often
J- do i?
E- yeah

She wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me down. Our lips connect move together

J- I have a feeling they are watching

I say still kissing her. She looks over

E- yeah all of them are
J- like all of them?
E- most

She gives me one more kiss till we just stand there looking at each other

J- wanna head in I'm freezing
E- can you carry me
J- if I fall it's your fault

I turn around and bend down. She jumps on and I fall to the ground

J- Jesus Erika
E- Jake

She punches my shoulder and I get up.

J- I'm kidding get on

She jumps on my back and carry her to the front door. She jumps down and we shake the snow off. We head in and take our stuff off.

Later

Erika sits in between on the floor as everyone opens gifts. Erika kept saying that she feels bad because no one got anything but I'm not really into Christmas and I'm not a materialistic kind of person. I kiss erikas cheek from behind and she puts her head back in my shoulder

J- I think I'm going to head to the apartment tonight it's closer to the diner and I work a lot this week
E- I'll drive you
J- I'll walk
E- you're not walking
J- why not
E- it's cold and snowing
J- it's nice out
D- why don't you guys stop fighting and open this

He puts the gift in erikas hand.

E- open it
J- you open

Erika open it and opens the box. Erika pulls whatever is in there out. It's the keys to the house in the back. I look around and everyone is having there own conversation. I kiss erikas cheek and she grabs my hand.

J- you know I appreciate you a lot

She looks up to me with a smile on her face.

E- I love you
J- I love you too

She grabs the back of my neck and gives me a kiss

Later

I'm finally back at the apartment with Archie. It feels good to be here but it brings so many memories that make me sad. I take a shower and just watch some tv before heading to bed

New Year's Eve

I'm stuck at the diner for New Year's Eve. I don't get why we are open if no one comes. I've served like 4 people today but they only came in for a coffee. The clock hits 11:40 and I start to clean up. I hear the bells on the door go off and I head to the dining area. I see Erika walk towards me.

E- I heard there was 20 minutes till 2020 and your birthday
J- *smiles* sorry the diner is closed so I have to escort you out

I pick her up and walk towards the door.

E- very funny

I put her down and rest my hands on her butt.

E- you look very cute In your uniform
J- thanks

I give her a kiss

J- so what are you doing here you said that you were going to this dinner with your parents
E- I did but I couldn't let my boyfriend spend New Years on his own
J- how nice
E- I know right

I clean up a bit and Erika pulls her phone out. We watch the clock turn to 12

E- happy birthday

She gives me a kiss

J- thank you

I say while my lips are connect to hers. We pull back

E- let's go to your apartment

Erikas pov
I lay on Jake on the couch as we watch some tv.

J- it's been a crazy year
E- it has but you got threw it
J- you helped me a lot so thank you
E- no problem

He rubs his hands up and down on my bare back. My hand plays with his hair as the other sits on his chest. Archie lays below us in the floor
