The Nexus

I walked up to Reaper and told him about what happened with the device, I refrained from telling him how Dread almost used him to kill all of us.

“The hypersphere was activated, how peculiar I will look into that,” he responded, I walked up to Luke Warm and explained what happened.

“Wait, are you telling me that Jake caused this?” He responded as he looked at the destruction of the base.

“Yes, Yes he did, and we need to go, now… I destroyed Savior Co. but I am unsure about Dread, I saw him after I exploded the reactor attacking someone, I have no idea where he is, but we need to move fast, just to be safe, I don't know how much longer we have until his next attack.” I responded to him.

“Well then what are we waiting for, I know a place that might be safe enough for now.” He responded and began to walk towards the door.

“Wait, I have an idea, I have information on the location of a state of the art Savior Co. cloaking lander prepared for take-off out of the atmosphere, we could just use that as a base, it is fueled by blue steel, so we won't need to land,” Jake said as he lifted up a device and it holographically projected a map of the city with a marker pinging on it, most likely the ship. Me and Luke Warm decided that it wouldn't be a bad idea to use that. Jake and I began to make our way to the ship as Luke Warm and Reaper prepared anything we need to take with us to be put on board. 

As Jake and I began nearing the ship I saw a group of Savior Co. soldiers working to power on some robots that were damaged on the ground near the ship. I began to sneak across the roofs but one of them caught sight of me and grappled up to me.

“Identification Sir, climbing across roofs of private structures is a class 5 offense, If you do not surrender peacefully now we will be forced to apprehend you more violently.” He said.

“My name is your worst nightmare,” I responded.

“I have scanned the civilian database and there is no sign of the name your worst nig.mvnsisdvhnis.” It said as I zapped it with a lightning bolt knocking it off of the edge of the roof, it had been standing on.

“Let's go, fast,” I said as me and Jake ran to and got on the ship.

While we were on Jake ran to the pilot seat and began to take off.

“Vertical takeoff and landing protocols seem to be working perfectly. He said as he began flying it to our old base. 

As we arrived we saw a fleet of drop pods near the base and a team of soldiers storming inside. 

“Land it outside, we ca…” I tried to say but was cut short by a drop pod falling and smashing one of the sides of the lander open, we then crashed down outside of the base. We got out fast and I ran in as Jake followed, putting on his wolf mask and summoning his claws. 

I shot the first two robots I saw and Jake jumped on another and slashed its head off. I saw Luke warm melting a group of about five of them as Reaper used some sort of shadow waves to destroy others.

After we defeated the boys we began to assess the damage to the ship, it appeared that besides the huge hole in the wall and our lack of a right wing, we were also missing a thruster drive, a device that is used to balance out the use of the thruster, without it this adventure will end before it even starts.

"Alright, Dynamo, you go get the implosion drive from the Savior Co. missile silo, it should still be mostly standing, we will remain here and begin working on fixing the rest of the ship." Luke Warm said and I nodded and began to swing off using my grappling hook. As I was swinging through the city however I felt some huge blast that knocked me into a window, my scanner than picked up some radio broadcast, as did the television in the room I was thrown into.

"Hello citizens of Earth, you all may have noticed the sudden power surge that took place worldwide all at one time. Well that was my doing, Dread, as I have powered on the Nexus, a device I created to cancel out the powers of known super villains like Dynamo. You also may notice the large menacing space station in the sky, also me, it is the housing for the Nexus. Don't with now however, it is the most secure place this world has ever seen, and if you are hearing this villains, I am coming to kill you next, be ready, I want a challenge." Dread said.

This is gonna be fun, I thought to myself.
