{Richie's pov}

Fuck my entire life. Why couldn't I for one day maintain my fucking gayness.
"As a friend- Like I think that someone could like you like a lot." I said quickly.
Will nodded a bit and looked up, "I don't know."

Is he that oblivious? I'm happy that he didn't notice but I'm also not?

"You'll find someone, trust me." I said sitting up, "Wanna go to the arcade?" Will looked at me with a smile and sat up, "Sure." I didn't notice how close him and I were, our noses were border line touching, and that is enough to get me gay.
"I'll race you, if I win you buy me an ice cream!" Will yelled before running off out of the room, I didn't have a chance to think but I quickly ran off after him. "Hey no fair!"

~time skip bc my dumbass doesn't know what to write~

Once I got there Will was already standing at the entrance grinning and panting, that fast little shit. "Looks like you owe me ice cream Tozier." Will said breathlessly, I rolled my eyes and chuckled weakly , "Yeah yeah, how about I kick your ass in street fighter." We both walked in there, talking about who's gonna beat who in what game. The place just smelt of grease and pizza, it was so fucking loud in there I thought for a second someone was being stabbed-
After a while of pushing past people to the games we wanted to play this small tiny kid accidentally ran into Will, He was about waist height on Will and had hair that was more curlier then mine, almost Stan' s hair. "Sowy, can you pick me up for a thecond?" The child asked shyly with a small lisp, Will smiled and did as he asked. The kid looked around before his eyes set on someone. I can only assume he was lost. "There! Thank you mishter, I'm Cody, whatsh your name?" Will gently out Cody down again, "I'm Will." Cody's face lit up and he smiled widely, not having two front teeth, "Thanksth Will!" He said cheerfully before running off.
Another thing, I'm not exactly the best person with kids, not my thing, but Will was just.. so careful with him, it was fucking adorable!
"Earth to Richie." He called out waving his hand in front of my face. "Sorry- I can't get over how well you handle kids." I said walking with Will to street fighter. "I was a baby sitter for a while, you get use to it." Will shrugged, " Well.. maybe we could baby sit a kid one time, I'd like to get use to being with kids I guess." That was a lie, it would've been an excuse to see Will with a kid.
"Yeah sure." Will smiled. "Now show me your street fighting skills."

After a few minutes me and Will ditched and ran off to the mall to fuck around there. We were in a chemist at one point, I was dared to put on glasses that were a different lense and walk over. I walked into a makeup stand and got makeup on my shirt. When that was over we decided to pick out clothes for each other to see how that went, Will chose a yellow sweater and overalls for me whilst I chose him a black and white striped shirt with blue ripped jeans.
The stereotypical 'bad boy' does not suit Will at all, he's too baby face to even pull it off. Me on the other hand, Will said it makes me look softer then I already am and makes me look cuter. When he complimented me I swear I went red, but as usual I was an idiot who made jokes like "Yeah? You should see me naked." Or "I'm sure your mum would think the same." Followed by an ass slap.

The day decided to set so me and Will got ice cream as he betted on and walked home. The sky was a peachy orange with small tints of pink, the sun was just setting so around it looked like an aura of red. It was beautiful.

{Wills pov}

As me and Richie walked I looked over at him and he was staring off at the sky. His freckles stood out heaps with the lighting, his bright eyes seemed to look yellow as the sun hit them perfectly. And come on, Richie has a sharp fucking jawline it could cut someone. He just looked breath taking. We eventually got to his house, we stood there talking for a bit before he turned to the house then back at me. "I'll see you tomorrow I guess." He smiled, "Yeah, sadly we'll be at school." Richie hummed and shrugged, "we could always ditch." I gently pinched his soft cheek, "Maybe." I smiled. "Well, if we do I want to take you somewhere, it is amazing and I bet on my life you'll love it." He said confidently.
"We could ditch at lunch, so we don't get into as much trouble if we get caught."
"Sounds like a date Byers." Richie said softly looking at me in such awe. "Honestly, thank you so much for today, I haven't had this much fun in a long time." His eyes just seem to beam with happiness, "No worries, if you ever need someone to hang out with I'm always down." I smiled at him. "I'll see you tomorrow." I said looking into his eyes, which he done the same. We both ,over closer to each other and just stared into one anothers eyes in silence. My body slowly leaned in towards him, and he followed my actions, we were just inches away from kissing and my eyes even started to close. But that was until Ruby, his little sister, stood at the front door."Richie! Get inside I need help."
We both jumped away from each other and Richie turned to her. "Fine! I'll see you tomorrow Will!" He said, waving bye to me and them running off inside closing the door behind him. "See ya Rich!" I called out, walking home. My face was so warm.

Fuck am I actually starting to like him in that way..?
