Chapter 1

Jennie

 I was supposed to go straight to America to continue my studies as planned by my family but eventually I was able to persuade them to allow me to pursue my passion in singing. Thus I decided to take a shot on a audition held by YG Entertainment.

"Jennie Kim?"

"That's me" I stated upon allowing my presence to be known

"Please follow me"

I was hoping everything would go well. As I approach the most awaited trial of my life. Many questions were going on in my mind. Was this worth it? Neglecting my studies abroad and going back to Seoul for my dream?

I was brought back from my reverie as the lady that guided me spoke "please proceed to the center stage Ms. Kim. The panel will instruct you to on what to do." 

"Thank you."

Five intimidating human beings with scrutinizing gaze were looking onto me. My stomach was churning, I can't seem to fathom that I would face such judgmental looks at an early age. No pleasantries as the man in the middle stated "if you are ready you may begin"

As I end my song, I can't seem to find any reactions from the panel. They did not even have a discussion.

"Kim Jennie, right?" asked the woman on the farthest left of the panel

"Yes, ma'am."

"You may wait outside with the others, we will let you know our discussions later."

"Thank you."

I buckled my legs hoping that I would be able to walk upright outside the audition room.

After a few hours 

"Kim Jennie and Cho Miyeon-shi." The lady called up.

"Here!" both me and the other girl that was called answered.

"You may bring your bags to the third floor." and we proceeded. 

"While for the rest that was not called, thank you for your time."

3rd Floor

"Hello girls! Welcome to YG! We called you here to orient you on the supposed contract that you would need to sign to become an official trainee of the company."

The guy briefed us one by one on the rules that we needed to follow before we comply to become trainees, specifically on the Do's and Don'ts that we should comply on.

"Have you understood the terms of the contract?"

Both me and the other girl just nodded our heads as a sign that we did.

"Very well, please sign below." He then nodded his head to another guy who seems to be a security unit of the company.

"He will guide you through your dorm. A lady would then brief you on the upcoming schedule. Once again welcome to YG."

As he ended his instruction finally I was able to breathe rather freely.
