Chapter 9. My brother

Max P.o.v.

The villain looked towards my brother, his eyes slowly became wider. ''Y-you bastard! You will pay for that!'' the villains eyes widened in rage as he charged towards my brother. As he came closer my brother just grinned. He jumped up into the air as his enemy ran past him. His wings expanded as he flew into the air. ''You can't hit me that easily!'' he laughed while the villain became more and more irritated. He gathered his flames into his hands and pointed towards the flying human. ''Say bye bye'' the man said to my brother. I gasped as the villain launched his attack. It missed him by just an hair and I was relieved. My brother quickly flew towards the villain and hit him. The villain cursed under his breath and spoke some words I couldn't understand. Next thing I knew he was taken away by some kind of purple mist.

My brother landed on the ground as he looked towards the place where the villain stood. "Tsk, I will deal with him later" he said while turning towards me. His frown became a smile as he charged towards me. "Max!! It's been a while!" He yelled while hugging me. My eyes widened as I pulled back. "W-what are you doing here?" I asked more sure of myself. "I ran away from our home and went to look for you" he shrugged. I hit my hand against my face and sighed. "I-I'm fine you see" I said as I took my distance. "You still have that stutter? I thought it would go away onces you entered high school, guess not" he grinned as I hit him. "S-shut up Ace!" I hit his head and Ace did a dramatic ouch.

Midoriya and Tokoyami ran towards us as Ace stepped back. "Who are they" he frowned. As I was about to answer I could feel Tokoyami's hand on my shoulder. "Thank god you're okay" he said as Midoriya nodded. "We're sorry that the plan didn't work" Midoriya looks towards his feet. "I-it doesn't matter" I smiled at them, trying to reassure them. But Ace got mad, "next time you want to do something risky don't use other people as bait". He calmly walked away from the group as his hand touched his ear. He mumbled a few words and came back. ''I got to go now'' He looked towards me with an apologetic face. ''I-it's fine'' I manged to smile feeling sad he had to leave. ''I will come back in the evening, so don't worry'' Ace hugged me tightly before jumping into the air. ''Oh and before I forget, I will bring someone special!'' he snickered as he flew off. I was left with a confused look as he faded into the distance.

I turned back to Midoriya and Tokoyami as they were both really confused. ''I w-will tell you later'' I said as they just nodded. ''Let's bring Izuku back to a teacher'' Tokoyami grabbed Midoriya's arm and I grabbed the other. ''C-can't I just bring h-him there?'' I stated as Tokoyami looked at me. ''Yes you could but you just got slammed into a wall, so let's just do this'' Tokoyami pointed out and I nodded in response.

As we finally reached one of the pro heroes, the battle was practically over. All the villains were captured and the students were back together again. As Aizawa counted the students one last time, Deku walked towards me. ''Thank you again for helping me'' he smiled at me as I returned it. ''N-no problem'' I said as Aizawa started talking. ''Everyone get into the bus so we can return to the school'' He stated as he walked before us. Everyone was beat up except for Bakugou and Todoroki, who were for some reason still fine. I sighed and walked towards Bakugou. ''S-so how are you n-not beat up?'' I asked as he turned to me. ''Because I'm fuckin' awesome ofcourse'' he stated as I just sighed. He was so full of himself, but I guess he wasn't wrong. ''S-sure you are'' I told him, immediatly regretting my words. ''What did you say Pidgeonshit?'' His hands made explosion noises. I trembled and quickly apologized. He huffed and walked passed me. I got a little scared and remembered my time at the lab. 'I'm glad they found me' I thought as I walked into the bus.

Everyone took their places next to their friends. I just akwardly stood there, not knowing where to sit. Eventually Kirishima called to me to sit with him, Denki and Bakugou. I was debating myself I wanted to sit there or not but I just did. I sat in between Denki and Bakugou, which wasn't a good idea. The two of them started arguing and I didn't know what to do. I just pulled my knees up and sighed, thinking of home. Not knowing that Kirishima was calling out to me I was abruptly grabbed by my arm. It was Bakugou, looking pissed. ''Oi, Shittyhear is calling for you'' he said slowly letting go of my arm. I looked behind Bakugou, looking for Kirishima. His red spiky hair popped up from behind the angry boy. ''Sorry Max, but we are almost back'' He said as I just waved it off. ''It's not a p-problem'' I said and laid down my head on my knees. I sighed and couldn't wait to see Beak again. My grip tightened thinking about him. He has kept me compony ever since I escaped the lab. I was thankful for him, he got me through a rough time. 'I'll be sure to feed him once we get back' I thought and not long after the bus stopped.
