Act 10: Hate

Act 10:

My cousins and I planned a vacation for Trojan and it was scheduled after my graduation. Ang plano ay after ng grad party didiretso kami ng Negros to unwind. Trojan has been drinking non-stop, hindi niya kami kinakausap masyado at bumalik siya sa dating tahimik na pag-uugali.

"Kailan mo balak bumalik ng Japan?" I asked Rin,

He's here in my room, hanging out. Kanina pa siya nakahilata sa kama ko, feel at home na feel at home, parang walang iniitindi sa buhay di tulad ng kapatid ko na depressed na ata dahil sa muling pagkakabigo sa mga plano niya at ng banda.

"After your graduation. I'm sorry I can't stay longer, she's threatening me to death already. Baka magulat ka nalang kasal na ko bukas." irita niyang sabi,

And that triggers more question inside my head. I left my study table to join him in bed. Naupo lang ako doon habang siya ay nakahiga parin at nakapikit.

"Why is she so eager to have you married? You're only what? 25?"

"I'm the first born. And she's very traditional. She doesn't want my Father's 2nd family to have the majority shares of the company."

"Why? Apo parin naman niya yun?"

He huffed at that.

"Well, despite of her cruel way of showing her love, you could say that I'm her favorite."

Tsk. We can't judge her, huh. But still, she's damn cruel for doing this to her grandson.

"And you? How do you feel about her?"

"I despise her. She made my life a living hell, Lys. They all made my Mother suffer, even in her last days she--"

He stopped his sentence. At hindi na iyong dinugtungan pa.

"Okay. Enough with this drama. What's our plan now?" nahihiya kong tanong,

Napadilat siya doon at napabangon. He gave me a wicked smile before pulling me in his arms.

"Are you up for a long distance relationship with me?" he asked,

"No. Of course not." mabilis kong sagot.

Napabuga siya ng hininga dahil doon.

"Damn it, Lys. Don't tell me I'm just a past time."

"You're not. But I'm not up for LDR. Not being able to see or kiss you would be torture. Ayoko."

"Hmmm." he said, his arms tightened around me.

"Relationship isn't only about kissing Lysandra. There's more than that."

"Sex?" I teased.

"Lys!"

Natawa ako sa mga mura niya. Pero sa huli ay nagseryoso na din ako. Lalo na't napipikon na siya sa pang aasar ko.

"Pupuntahan kita sa Japan. We'll make it work."

Hindi siya nakaimik sa sinabi ko. Parang nabigla siya at hindi iyon inaasahan.

"You know I love you, right?" he whispered,

"Yes." I said, a bit breathless.

"Good."

Rin left as soon as Trojan came home. He said he needs to give Trojan time to move on. Alam niyang sobrang masakit ito para kay Trojan.

"Aalis ka ulit?" I asked my brother, nakagayak ito at mukhang aalis nanaman kahit na magdadalawang oras palang ata siya sa bahay.

"Seve and I will go out for a drink. Wanna come? You're not allowed to drink, of course." he smiled sadly,

This is more painful than I thought.
