Chapter 6: The Break up

Mina's POV

I put on a pair of pants and a simple shirt and a jacket. I bid goodbye to my parents saying that I will just meet Chae at the park.

As I made my way I saw a very familiar figure sitting at the swing. I made my way towards her and sat beside her.

"Why did you ask me to be here babe?" She asked and held my hands.

My tears started to flow continuosly.

"Hey babe, it's alright, you could tell me anything" she said and wiped the tears on my eyes while kneeling at my front. I look like a kid that tripped and she's here to mend my wound, but right now I will cause her more pain.

"Chae" I said holding my tears back

"Yes babe?" She asked

"Let's break up" I said looking down cause I don't wanna see her expression.

"Your joking right?" She said then laughed but I can still sense the nervousness in it

"That's not a funny joke Mitang, Let's just buy you an Ice cream" She said and pulled my hand to stand up but I didn't even move.

"I'm not joking" I said and looked at her trying to mask my own expressions. I felt myself break into pieces when I looked at her but I need to hide it.

"We really should break up" I said full of seriousness

"B-but why?" She said tears already flowing

"We were alright today, we didn't fought" She asked as if trying to recall everything that happened today.

"It's not about you, it's just that"

"That what?" She said trying to calm herself down but her tears betrayed her.

"I don't love you anymore" I said looking everywhere but her.

"Almost a year, and this will be the reason why we broke up?" She said not believing it

"I could court you again, I--" she said but I cut her off

"No, just stop" I said

"I like someone else" I added

"It's Tzuyu isn't?" She asked but I didn't answer

"I'll take that as a yes then" she held my face making me look at her.

"Say it again and I will stop and would gladly support you" she said with a soft smile showing her dimples. I gulped

"I don't love you anymore" I said looking at her eyes. Her eyes that I've fallen in love. Her eyes that started to water again.

She kissed my forehead making me close my eyes. I hugged her.

"I'm so sorry Chae" I said

"You shouldn't be" she said and have a sweet smile on her lips.

"You just loved someone. No need to be sorry for it" She said

She broke the hug and stepped back a little.

"I guess this will be the end of us"

"We're still friends though" I said

"Friends" she said and offered a handshake, and I gladly accepted it.

"You will find the right person soon Chae, the right person" I said and glanced at Momo who is walking towards a Jokbal shop.

She followed my gaze and found that I'm looking at Momo.

"Momo?" She asked

"Yup, she likes you" I smiled bitterly

"No she don't"

"Believe me, go ask her yourself" I said

She hugged me one last time.

"We're still friends, right?" I asked

"Yup, friends" she said before walking away towards the shop that Momo entered. I smiled sadly.

I sat at the swing again trying not to cry again. My eyes hurts for stopping my tears. I looked up looking at the stars that's shining above me.

I suddenly felt something wet started dropping from my face, at first I thought that it was just my tears that didn't follow my mind and started to fall but it turns out it was just the rain.

I let myself become wet from the rain and just look down crying. I'm sorry for lying Chae, I love you, I still do. I thought repeating it inside my head.

The rain suddenly stopped so I looked up and found an umbrella above me. Covering me from the rain. I followed the owner of the umbrella and was shocked when I found Tzuyu holding it while also covering herself with another umbrella

"I wouldn't want my fiancé to be sick" she said concern evident in her voice

"Thanks but you shouldn't bother" I said looking down not wanting to create any eye contact.

"Let me take you home" she offered

"I can take care of myself" I said and was about to stand up but suddenly felt dizzy and I lose my balance

I was waiting for an impact but instead I landed on a soft pair of arms. I looked at her and I suddenly felt that I'm in trans. Her eyes is so pretty. I just got my sense back when she started talking

"Obviously you can't" she said and made me stood up.

"Let me take you home" she offered

"No, I don't wanna go home yet" I answered

"Atleast let me take you somewhere so you could be warm" she said and pulled me towards her limo when we entered she pulled out a shirt and pants from a mini drawer there.

"Change your clothes, you're soaking wet" she said and pulled the curtains so that I will have my own privacy. Once I was finished I parted the curtains and saw her reading a magazine.

"You look cute on that" she said

"Your clothes are too big for me" I said pouting lightly

"Nah, you're just small" she added mockingly. I just rolled my eyes at her

"What are you doing in the park at this time?" She asked

"I did what you wanted" I answered

"You broke up with her?" She asked again

"Yeah" I answered shortly

I heard her sigh.

"I'm sorry for making you do this" she said guilt visible in her voice

"It's fine besides I'm feeling something special for you" I said mumbling the last part making sure she doesn't hear it

"What did you say?" She asked pertaning to what I mumbled.

"Nothing" I answered shortly

"Because of the inconvenience let me take you somewhere" she said dismissing the topic making me relieved

"Where?"

"That's a secret" she said and winked at me before continuing to read her magazine.
