The trees were beautiful this time in July. The leaves showed only the brightest colors and the sun light stretched across the field on flowers outside of the Granger-Weasley household. Rose loved this time of day and to spend it with Frank only made it better.
She sat on her bed reading one of her mother's favorites, Pride and Prejudice, whilst Frank sat on the arm chair reading one of his father's Herbology books. Every couple minutes she would look up from her book to see Frank looking at her, only to advert his eyes back to his book with a smile on his face.
Rose couldn't help but smile as well. She had been able to think clearly over the past couple of weeks and things her finally getting back to normal with Frank. The only problem was that she didn't want things to go back to normal.
She needed any excuse for him to come sit by her and she knew exactly what to say. "Hey Frank," she began, causing him to look up from his book. "Would you mind helping me with with word. I don't seem to know the definition."
Frank looked at her confused. "But you know every word Rose. I should know. I lost to you during trivia week last year in Professor Binns class.
Rose let out a laugh, "Well I don't know this one."
Frank gave a smile as he stood up and sat on the corner of her bed, gazing over her should st the book she was holding. She smiled as she felt his breath shading her face and how close in proximity they were sitting.
"Cupidity? Blimey Rose I know you know what cupidity means."
"Remind me."
He took a deep breath as he looked into Rose's eyes. "Well it's um... when someone feels a connection towards another; a desire to be more specific." He felt himself leaning closer and closer to her, his eyes drifting back and forth between her eyes and lips. "Such a strong desire that you can't stay away from them."
Rose felt herself leaning closer as her lips brushed against Frank's, electricity flying between them both. She felt his arm reach for her waist as their kiss deepened. Rose touched his arm as it came in contact with her side, making him break from their kiss and retreat back slightly.
"Rose if it's alright with you I'd like to be more than just your best friend."
She gave out a slight chuckle as she moved her hand from Frank's arm to his cheek. "Yes Frank, I think I'd like that very much."
And with that, she leaned back in to start what was interrupted just moments before.
