Since James' admission to St. Mungos, Dominique and Lorcan had been hanging out every day. Sometimes it was just talking, other times it was more than that, but no matter what, he was there for her. They had been taking a lot of walks together, mostly through the muggle part of town and today was no exception. They walked side by side in silence, letting each other get lost in their own thoughts, that is until Lorcan spoke up.

"Do you want to go to Trixie's again? I've been craving that latte you showed me," Lorcan asked her.

Dom let a small smile form on her lips. "Sure," she said.

The two walked silently for another two blocks before they reached the cafe. It had been a couple of weeks since her conversation with her sister. She still didn't know what to do about her situation. Does she hide it from him and let the pain of not being with him get the best of her, or does she confess her feelings and risk him not feeling the same way.

As the two waited in line to order their drinks, Dom felt Lorcan's hand linger on hers. She glanced down slightly, not wanting to make any sudden movements. She relaxed her hand, and let him slide his in to hold hers. Dom felt her cheeks turn red and couldn't bring herself to look at him. What did this mean? Did he like her as well or was this just a friendly way of saying I'm here for you in light of James' situation?

They approached the register and Dom was still lost in thought. Lorcan ordered for the two of them, Dom always got the same drink, and it wasn't until she felt his hand be removed from hers did she come back to reality. Lorcan had reached down to grab his wallet and pay for the drinks. She didn't have time to protest as he handed the cash over to the lady at the register. He smirked at her as he folded his wallet again.

"Don't even try to argue," he said with a smirk. She could only let out a chuckle as they were handed their drinks, walking to a table nearby.

They sat silently for a few moments. Dom mulled over her same dehliema over again and decided she couldn't take it anymore, however, when she went to speak, Lorcan spoke at the same time.

"I- you go first," she said to him. His comment was probably more light weight than hers."

"Okay.." he began. "Well, I wanted to talk to you about our... situation."

"Situation," she repteated.

"Yes. The thing is, well, we talked about this a little while back before the whole James thing happened..." Dom was getting nervous. What was he talking about? "Well you mentioned that we had agreed with was a no strings attatched kind of realtionship but, ever since you brought it up, I couldn't stop thinking about wanting something more..."

Dom felt shocked. Here she was, worried that he would abandon her for catching feelings when he was thinking exactly the same thing. She was so lost in thought, partly shocked by what he had just said to respond. "You okay over there? I can just leave if-

"No! Don't leave, please," Dom cried out, her arms stretched as if it would prevernt him from stadning up. He stayed silent and shifted in his seat slightly, his cheeks turning redder by the minute. "I- Lorcan why do you always have to beat me to the conversation?" she said letting out a slight giggle.
"What?" He said, partly confused.

"I- that was what I was trying to tell you back that day... I was hoping that you wouldn't be mad at me because well, I might have been wanting something more for some time now..."

"Oh..." he said, shocked. His face slowly turned into a smirk. "Well then, I suppose this could be considered our first date."

Dom couldn't help but let out a laugh. The two chuckled to themselves at their awkward conversation. "I supposed it is," she said. "Godric we really did things backwards didn't we?"

"Yeah, friends with benefits never really seemed like the proper option." He reached out and grabbed her free hand on the table, taking it in his again.
"Nevertheless, I'm glad it ended up this way."
