Flashback:
You woke up with a yawn, remembering what happened yesterday. Tears came to your eyes as you thought about what Tifu did to save you, how you could've died yourself and never see Kion again. You walked over to yours and Kion's spot on Pride Rock and watched the sun rise together."It's always so beautiful..." You said. Kion blushed.
"Not as beautiful as you." He replied. Kion wrapped his tail around you, then stood up suddenly.
"Kion, what is-"
"(Y/N), you mean so much to me... I don't know what I'd do if you weren't in my life. What happened yesterday are now scars in my heart. And they'll stay there forever. If you had died... I don't know what I would've done. But you're here, and I can't be happier. I've wanted to ask this for quite some time now...." He said as he got closer to you, closing the gap between you. You gasped slightly.
"Kion, what are you saying?" You asked anxiously. Kion took a deep breath and gave you "the look" that made your legs go weak.
"Will you be my queen...? Will you... Um... Willyoumarryme?" He asked quickly, but you understood. Tears leapt to your eyes and you nuzzled against him. He purred.
"I will, Kion! Oh, I will, I will! Yes!" You exclaimed. Kion released the breath he didn't know he was holding. Everything was slowly coming together.
End of flashback:
"Mommy, daddy, come play!" Your youngest child cried. You woke up slowly.
"Tifu, not now..." You groaned. Tifu was your youngest daughter. Of course you named her after Tifu, the young lion cub who saved your life. Tifu pranced over and pulled on your ear.
"But you promised!" She whimpered. Oren, your oldest son, walked in.
"Fufu, leave mom and dad alone. I'll play with you." He said. He had clearly just woken up. Tifu growled.
"Stop calling me "Fufu"!" She said. Kion rolled over.
"Tifu, go play with your brother... Your mother's exhausted. I'll get up in a little while." He said. Tifu groaned.
"Okay FINE!" She said, and stomped over to Oren. He took her down to land, and soon, laughing and squealing could be heard. You chuckled.
"Thanks for saving me there." You said, licking Kion's cheek. He laughed.
"Anytime for you, my queen." He said. You smiled, and stood up with a yawn.
"We better go supervise them before someone gets hurt." You said. Kion flinched. You immediately felt guilty for saying that. "Hey, it's all in the past now. Everything's ok." You said reassuringly. Kion sighed.
"I know, I know... It's just memories." He looked down. You nudged his head back up to yours.
"When will you figure out I will always come back to you when you roar?" You said teasingly. Kion laughed.
"You were always such a strong lioness... I love you so much, (Y/N)..." He said.
"I love you too." You replied. Together, you and Kion walked down to see Tifu and Oren playing and having fun. Your circle of life had begun.
