*Luke's POV*
Did I just hear her correctly?
I did because her facial expression is a mixture of anger and sadness.
"Why? When? I ask, stunned.
"3 months." She whispers.
"I can't believe it. 6 years we've been best friends and you're moving. Again." I say, shaking my head in shock.
"I'm sorry Luke. I don't want to move either. But, I have to. I don't have a choice." She says softly, tears slipping down her cheeks.
"You do have a choice. You just don't realize it." I tell her.
"What's my choice Luke? Argue with my mom until she gets so angry she starts hitting me? Lord knows my dad won't do anything." She asks, hurt.
"No. Something easier. But, it'll have to wait until a few weeks before you leave." I reply.
"Okay Luke. I'm leaving in 3 months not 3 days. Let's do something fun." She suggests, a smile beginning to form.
"Okay. Starbucks first?" I ask hopefully.
"Always." She says, winking.
"I love ya Luke." She says, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
If only she knew.
