*Luke's POV*
I'm waiting in Carly and my's treehouse that we built in 8th grade when I hear a loud engine stop.
Carly.
I can't believe she admitted that she loves me.
Ohmygod.
I have been waiting for that for 6 years.
She climbs up the treehouse.
"Hey Luke."
"Hey Carles."
"So...." She starts.
"So...." I say.
"I'm going to get straight through the point. We both love each other but it might ruin our friendship. What should we do?" She asks uncertainly.
"This." I say, pressing my lips to hers.
She immediately kisses back, wrapping her arms around my neck.
I pull away and begin to kiss her neck.
"L-Luke." She stutters.
She begins nibbling my neck while I try and tug at her shirt.
"I'm not ready." She whispers.
I'm disappointed but I understand. She's my best friend. I have to understand.
We pull away from our kiss and stare at each other like we've just seen a ghost.
"That was."
"Amazing."
I run my fingers through my blonde quiff, blushing.
"Luke, you need to learn to stop blushing at me. I love you too but you gotta stop." Carly giggles.
"Sorry. Force of habit." I reply.
We sit there staring at each other for a few minutes before she speaks up.
"Well, I have to go. Thanks for meeting me here. I really appreciate it. Glad we got to get everything out there." Carly says.
"Yeah. Me too. I'll see you later Carles." I wave.
"Bye Lukey-Pooky." Using the nickname I can't stand.
I glare at her and she smiles at me widely.
"I hate that stupid nickname." I call.
"Yeah well. I like it. Byeeeee" She calls back.
I roll my eyes and walk to my house.
I run upstairs and and rapidly start falling into a dream about me and Carly.
