Year: Junior

I was sitting in Spanish class one day and the teacher asked for a volunteer. The guy who volunteered had to lay down on a huge sheet of paper while someone traced around his body. Then, we each had to go up to the trace and label one of its body parts in Spanish. Someone even had to draw eyes, nose, a mouth, etc. and label those too.

Once I finished with my contribution, I went back to my desk so I could get started on my homework. The girl sitting next to the desk in front of me was also done, so she just took out her phone and looked through it. She was wearing her hair in a low ponytail that day.

Now, this kid named Mike, who was like the class clown and mischief maker of our grade, was walking around, and was holding a pair of scissors in his hand since he needed to cut something out. He walked by the girl's desk and slid his hand under her ponytail and flipped it up a little just to tease her. She moved her head, which Mike was not expecting, and then the scissor blades joined together.

The girl suddenly realized it and said, "Oh my God, he just cut my hair!"

Meanwhile, Mike took the hair he had cut and tried to hide it behind a few things on a nearby table, but what the girl said had already attracted a lot of attention. Mike halfway buried his face into his hands and was really red. I went up to the table, grabbed the hair, and gave it back to the girl. She put her hair on Snapchat, and I was just giggling at Mike because apparently, we were archenemies and he called me his nemesis. He looked at me and said, "And I would've gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

As for the girl's hair, don't worry, Mike only cut off a small piece that was within the ponytail, giving her hair a small layer. You couldn't tell the difference unless you separated her hair lock by lock. However, she said she had just gotten a $95 haircut, and because she was a senior, she had prom the following week.

The teacher was mad, and even though the girl told her it was okay, she protested by saying that it wasn't and that something had to be done.

Because this happened in Spanish class, Mike's punishment was that he had to write a one page paper that night about what he did...in Spanish. And if he didn't have it by the next day, he would get a detention.

Throughout the rest of the school year, whenever we were in Spanish class and Mike was holding a pair of scissors, someone would yell "don't cut anybody's hair this time!"

Just so you know, Mike would never intentionally do this. But if that was my hair, I'd be fuming, no matter how little he cut off.
