CafeteriaThe three sat together as they ate their lunch. A week already passed and the lady is finally getting to know more about Riko. Hina finally joined them as well. "Your mother didn't pack your lunch?", Hina noticed. "She went back to our place, there are some papers to be signed", Aki informed. "Hina-san, you're Aki's cousin, right? You don't look like her", Riko said with all honesty. "Your tongue is precious, isn't it?", Hina had a fake laugh. "I didn't mean it differently. You're petite and Aki is tall. You're too fair and Aki's with the right amount of melanin", Riko pointed out. "Also, you're fashionable and she's not", the last sentence made Riko receive a punch on the back of her head from Hina. "Don't you insult my cousin", Hina couldn't contain it anymore. "It's okay Hina. I know Riko doesn't mean anything with her saying that. Don't worry Riko, I'm comfortable with the way I dress but I am open to your suggestions", Aki smiled. Hina also smiled and feel proud for her cousin. Aki had always been so understanding. As far as she remember, Aki never complained. She would accept if either of her parents need to move from place to place to work. This time, she didn't hesitate to agree coming with them in the city. Aki believes it's a good opportunity to grow.
"I'd be shopping around the district. I heard there's a lot of sale. Want to come with me?", Hina winked at the two. "Sure! Your treat? Wah!!! You're so reliable, Hina-san!", Riko clapped. "Who said I'd be treating you?", Hina sighed.
Shopping District
The lights are flickering and the place is packed with people. They are from different ages. Aki can see teenagers and also middle aged women. "Woah! Look, Aki, here are some dress. It suit you", Hina dragged her along the district. In the end, Aki chose jeans and sweater.
The three separated ways with Riko and Aki walking together.
"Aki, I'd be meeting someone. See you again tomorrow", Riko waved. "Are you seeing someone, Riko?", Aki became curious. She's been saying that she's going to meet someone so Aki inferred. "I hope so but not yet", Riko had a wide smile. Aki chuckled and nodded. She walked the other way and waited for the bus.
The person in front of her dropped some oranges from his shopping bag. Aki picked them and passed it to the owner. "We do meet a lot", that voice was familiar. "Aki.. Akiyama-san", Akihabara stepped back and bowed. "Too formal, don't worry. I'm just a normal person right now", he informed. Aki raised her head and saw Akiyama wearing casual clothes. Black shirt and jeans with pair of sneakers. "Here comes the bus", Akiyama said. They both rode and sat next to each other since its the only seat available. "You're headed home?", Akiyama engaged in a conversation. "Yeah" Aki nervously answered.
"You?", she felt that it would be disrespectful not to ask. "Same. Those boys just had some requests so I went to buy some stuffs", Akiyama explained. "You live together?", Aki said her thoughts loud and covered her mouth. Akiyama felt amused with her awkwardness. He found it interesting. "Scepter 4 houses their employees. Also, we are living in free dorms provided by the agency", Akiyama explained. "Scepter 4?", Aki looked confused. There is still someone in the city who doesn't know about their existence. Akiyama chuckled and looked at Aki. "We're special forces, an elite one, we actually have super powers", Akiyama whispered. Aki's eyes widened. "Really? Like, what kind?", Aki gasped. Akiyama laughed and tears formed in the edge of his eyes. "You're really adorable, Miss. We don't have superpowers. We're just hand picked by the leader of the Agency. We branched out from the National Police. Since National Police only accommodates those with degree, Scepter 4 created opportunities for those gifted who didn't undergo the usual process of being a police", Akiyama explained clearly.
"I never heard about that. That means you're really trained, Akiyama-san", Aki lowered her head feeling embarrassed for believing they have powers. It's just that everything that Akiyama would say is true. His phone suddenly rang. He didn't pick it. Aki looked around and thought maybe it was someone else. Akiyama took his phone and silenced it. "I'd be dropping here, Akiyama-san", Aki bowed her head. The bus stopped and she turned to Akiyama for a last glance. "Have a good night rest", he smiled. Akiyama's smiles are so warm and real. Aki went down.
Akiyama held his phone and finally answered it.
Hey! I've been calling you for the 20th time. I know its your day off. Why didn't you meet me where I ask you to?!
Sorry, Riko. I'm actually running an erand for the boys.
Really?! It's not your job to run their erands. Are you their slave?!
Sorry Riko, I have to do something. Go home now. Its late. Its not good for you to be staying outside in these hours.
If you care, then maybe you should have met with me.
The call ended.
Scepter 4
Dorm houseAkiyama entered with all the bags. The rest suddenly rushed into him and grabbed their things. Kamo finally have a good laddle. The last time, Domyouji burnt it when he was assigned to cook. Domyouji grabbed on his chips which was prohibited for them to eat. Enomoto picked on his juice. Fuse also grabbed his shampoo. "Thank you, Akiyama. You're the best", they all said and disappeared in an instant. Akiyama sighed and had a weak smile.
He passed through the dining hall and saw Fushimi working. He dropped some donuts. "Hard working as always", Akiyama commented. "Not to mention you", Fushimi talked back.
"By the way, Fushimi-kun. Don't miss the party tomorrow. The last time, you went to the building to escape . If you do that again, I'd tell the Munakata-san about that", Akiyama threatened. "Tch", Fushimi clicked his tongue. Among all of the Scepters, it was only Akiyama who would blackmail him and doesn't hesitate to talk with him.
"If you do that, I'd be telling him as well about your affairs outside Scepter 4. You're allowing a civilian to get mixed up with out matters",Fushimi was referring to Akihabara. Akiyama chuckled. "I don't have anything to fear since I didn't do anything that broke the law. It was her choice to help", Akiyama smiled. Fushimi sighed and gave up.
Ishikawa Apartment
The family is having dinner. Nobu opened the television to watch news.
"The Scepter 4 captured another group of robbers who were aiming the central bank. Again, they were working hand in hand with the National Police".
"This is a great insult to us! How come that these monkeys are the one getting the credits!", Nobu stabbed the vegetable. After being promoted in a higher position, Nobu became of of the chief in Tokyo. "They seems to be nice people", Aki commented. "Yah yah. Because of these nice people, we look like laughing stock already", Nobu sighed. "You're just getting older, Dad. Maybe you can do something else other than chasing and fighting on the street", Aki suggested. "You seem to be in favor of these monkeys", Nobu hummed. "Who wouldn't? Look at how handsome and charming these men are", Erina commented. Nobu was startled and Aki laughed.
The camera shot at Akiyama.
"Come to think of it. You came home wearing one of their coats darling", Erina revealed. Aki shook her head and hope her mother would shut up. "I also saw a calling card on your pocket", Erina smiled. Nobu looked at Aki with poker face.
"Are you acquainted with one of them?", Nobu held unto his chopstick until it broke.
