Akiyama and Riko led the play of tag. The rest of the Scepter 4 joined the tag. "Captain chose this foundation to fund and to be in partner with. Because of some matters, he grew fond of taking care of abandoned people", Fushimi suddenly informed. Aki nodded. "I see", Aki doesn't know what to say. "And maybe that's the reason why he took me in", Fushimi chuckled. Aki mustered her strength to look at Fushimi whose eyes are focused on the children.
Aki's eyes suddenly turnes teary. She's been so sensitive these days. After being caught up with the incidents, her world started to widen and yet it keeps narrowing down to Fushimi. She suddenly grabbed on his sleeves. "ah...", she panicked and shook her head. What does she want to say? "Right now. You... already have people who won't abandon you. That's all I know", Aki said with a nervous voice. "You won't be able to say that. You don't know me at all. You don't understand a traitor, murderer, and thief like me", Fushimi gave a weak smile.
Aki was able to capture it in her mind. It was the first time he saw Fushimi's vulnerable side. "I want to know about you and get to understand you better", Aki said her thoughts. She stepped back and lets him go.
Did I also lose my mind?!
He didn't react but just ignored what she said. She might just be bluffing or trying to make him feel better.
"Tch!!! You're together again", the boy from the kitchen pointed. Aki bent down and flicked his forehead. "My name is Ishikawa Akihabara. How about you?", Aki asked. "Ryou!", he said proudly. Fushimi just stood on the side. "Ishikawa-san. You shouldn't be around handsome men. When my mother died, she told me that father was so handsome that he left with another woman. Look at his face, he's a woman hunter", Ryou pointed at Fushimi. Aki tried to hide her laughter.
"I see, your father left with another woman. But then, Ryou, not all handsome men will be like your father. Look at those men in blue uniform. They're good looking but they are protecting this city with all their heart. I believe Ryou will also be like then someday", Aki patted his head. Ryou flushed and held her hand. "You... Think so.." Ryou said with a sad tone. Aki looked at Fushimi. "We'll do our best to meet that expectation", Fushimi sighed. Aki smiled and so with Ryou.
Bus Station
Aki ended up walking with Fushimi. "You're a walking hazard. Who knows what you may bump on your way", Fushimi clicked his tongue.
They waited at the shed. "What did Hime told you?", Fushimi asked. Aki's heart beat faster. "What do you know about me?", Fushimi repeated. Aki breathed deeply. "That you were misled", Aki answered. The rain started to fall. It was only the two of them on the shed. "That you killed some people, tortured some, stole from some", Aki answered and looked into his eyes. "But, the Fushimi-san san that is standing in front of me is the product of what he's been through. That's why even if how many years passed, maybe he can still remember the guilt. Maybe he is still doing everything to atone for what is suffocating him inside. And maybe, he can still see some ghost from the past. Akiyama-san told me about yiur hallucinations of your father. Yet, from everything that happened, it made him tough and stern and almost looking as if he doesn't care", Aki smiled.
"Captain... and even those guys always looked at my past as just another dimension where I previously lived. You... You're the only one who saw that I am still that person", Fushimi looked away and watched the rain falling from the sky.
"What else?", Fushimi asked. Aki squeezed her brain. What else? What else is he trying to bring out? Would it be about that? But it's quite inappropriate to say... But then, Fushimi might think Aki doesn't want to discuss about that because she's disgusted.
"And that you're a good kisser? And.. Somethings like that", she said with an innocent tone. Fushimi turned into a stone. He raised his glasses and started to walk away. Aki face palmed and grabbed on his hand. She knew it. She shouldn't have said it. "I'm sorry, I pried into your past without your permission", Aki apologized. "Whenever she touched me, I wanted to throw up in my disgust with myself", Fushimi unbelievably opened. "That's what I thought I would feel with everyone who'd be trying the same. But then, when you pulled me into a hug, I felt warm", Fushimi gently removed her grip and ran away.
Aki's face is all flustered.
I felt warm.
She sat on the bench and just stared into the blank space.
What in the world is happening with me?!

Dorm House
Dining Hall
Everyone is talking about how Riko is already a woman who can be worthy to be Akiyama's partner. "Seriously?", Akiyama sighed and drank water. He saw Fushimi enter the dorm. "Welcome back, Fushimi-kun. Why don't you eat with us?", Akiyama called. Fushimi just bowed his head and went into his room.
Munakata stood in front of his door. "I know", Fushimi looked away. "Aren't you going to tell those boys?", Munakata asked. "I've caused them so much trouble already. For me to disappear is the best thing I can give to them", Fushimi smiled. Munakata felt relieved. For the very first time from the moment he took him in, he smiled without reservation.
Christmas passed.
Temple
"Aki, the fireworks will start now. Come on!", Riko dragged her. Scepter 4 was busy patrolling due to the busy season. Riko cannot invite Akiyama for the fireworks viewing.
Aki doesn't have anyone to watch it as well so they ended up together again.
"Aren't you going to tell Akiyama how you feel?", Riko suddenly asked. Aki felt like choking on her words. "Because he's the one you mentioned in your stories, right? The one who had always been kind", Riko chuckled. Aki held unto her arms and shook her head violently. "But... Aki, you know what. The good guys doesn't get the girl", Riko winked.
The snow covered the ground.
Ishikawa Apartment
"You're going to spend your holidays like this? Aren't you bored staying here?", Erina asked while sipping through her coffee. The two of them are watching the television. The news included the Scepter 4 and Aki's eyes were attentive to catch someone else's face. Erina smiled watching her daughter be so interested with a particular news.
"Fushimi-san isn't there again", Erina whined. Aki flinched and dropped the remote.
She had always liked Akiyama ever since she remember. He's warm and always kind. But these days, her mind had been so preoccupied of Fushimi.
After which, the snow melted and the leaves started to spring once again.
Police Office
Aki entered and was greetes by the police. "Oh, chief's daughter", they all smiled. Aki greeted them as well. They became familiar of her face since she often visited during the break.
Aki saw Nobu working on the papers.
"Lunch", she raised the box and dropped it on his tabe. "Thank you, Aki",Nobu patted her head. Aki saw an article about Scepter 4. "Are you going to work with them again?", Aki whispered. "Heck no. I just accepted their offer because of Fushimi-san. Now that he's not here, I don't plan on acquainting with them", Nobu sighed.
Aki wasn't sure of what she heard. "Fushimi-san is no longer in the Scepter?", Aki repeated. Nobu nodded. "Why?", Aki asked.
"For some reasons, he quitted", Nobu informed.
