It has been about a month, and Deceit as made relentless attempts to lie you, failing each and every time. You have always been very skilled with your magick. (that is not spelt wrong, magic refers to what magicians perform, magick is the actual form we are focusing on here) He had finally had enough, and so his next, and final attempt, would be a grand one.

Deceit's POV

This is it.. I can't take failing anymore! I will confess.. maybe that will be strong enough to allow me to lie to her.. I thought to myself, attempting to prepare for the consequences of failing this one. I took a slow shakey breath as I rehearsed what I was going to try to say, so that the opposite would at least make sense..

"I hate you-" I began as I re adjusted my gloves in the mirror "-I can't stand the sight of you and I wish you would just get lost already! No one even wants you here!" I finished glaring into the mirror for added effect. I found myself doing this routine often when I was younger. However, a lot of time had passed since then, and I was now quite confident in my abilities. But Y/N.. made me 2nd guess myself, as well as my abilities. I knew that the more I practiced the more I would over do it, if it even worked.. Yes. I thought, I must act now.

Your POV

I wish Deceit would think more about me, rather than lying to me.. You see, I've developed feelings for him, but I know he would never feel the same. Maybe I should just come out and say it I thought. No.. I can't handle the pain of being rejected by him.

But there he is.. fuck it, I'm going to do this! I walked up to deceit with a false confidence as I opened my mouth to begin confessing my feelings for the snake man. "I hate you! I can't stand the sight of you and I wish you would just get lost already! No one even wants you here!" He blurted before I could get a word out.

I just stared at him wide-eyed as he smirked and cooed "Oh~ Did you want to say something~?" My lip quivered slightly at his taunting before I nodded slowly. "Well?" He snapped impatiently. "I love you." I whispered seconds before running out the door and down the street haphazardly.

Deceit's POV

It was now my turn to stare in the position she had just been standing in, wide-eyed, and mouth agape. Oh no oh no oh no.. what have I done?? I questioned myself as I fell to my knees screaming "NNOOO!!"

Patton rushed in first attempting to assess the problem. "Hey kiddo, what's wrong? Are you ok? Are you hurt? What can I do??" He shot off in rapid fire. "No.. no no no.. no no no" I repeated to myself as Patton tried to comfort me.

"I've lost her Patton, I can't get her back.. I don't know what to do, or where she wen-" I shot up quickly, startling the man as I did so. "YOU HAVE TO FIND HER! SHE MAY GET HURT! OH MY GOD I'VE PUT HER IN DANGER!" I screamed attempting to convey my full concerns. "Who??" Patton asked, clearly worried. I pierced my lips together at his question, afraid he would hate me if I gave him the answer. Of course Y/N's safty is much more important than whether or not any of the other sides hate me, so I told him anyway. "Y/N" I whispered, causing his eyes to widen.

I watched as he immediately sprung to his feet, calling everyone else to the livingroom, simultaneously. They all appeared within seconds, clearly hearing the distress laced in Patton's voice. "Patton what's wrong??" Virgil questioned within seconds of arriving, the moment he noticed me he released a very deep audible growl "What did you do." He stated rather than asked.

More tears trailed down my cheeks as I held my face "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen, please, find her, please please please.." I trailed off, wishing I wasn't able to lie her again.

Your POV

I ran and ran, ending up at a park I've never seen before. I slowed down, observing my surroundings. There aren't any kids here, but some may come so I'll sit over there. Hopefully no one tries to talk to me.. I said to myself, eyeing the treeline at the edge of the park. I sat against one in the foreground, facing the park. Why did I run.. I could have went to Patton's room but no I just had to be extra and get myself lost I mentally cursed myself and pulled out my phone accessing my contact list in order to message Thomas.

(You           |         Thomas)

Thomas.. I'm lost

                  Y/N! OH MY GOD
                     YOU'RE SAFE
  Okay, tell me what you see and we will find you!

Ok, thank you
___

I proceeded to tell Thomas everything that might give him and the others an idea about where I am

~~~Time Skip~~~
"I'm sorry I worried you" I whispered just loud enough for Patton to hear. I am currently sitting in the car, thankful Patton recognized the park, and knew how to get there. I was also thankful that only two sides came to get me, however I wished Deceit wasn't one of them.
Third Person POV
You sat awkwardly in the backseat with Deceit. It was clear that both of you wanted to say something, but neither party even knew where to begin. Deceit constantly opened and shut his mouth, eventually turning his head towards the window in a defeated manner. This caused you to sigh and snap "Just say whatever it is already." He jumped slightly from your sudden pain laced voice. "I.." he sighed "I'm sorry" he stated, piercing his lips together in an attempt to stay composed. It was a very poor attempt, as he was slowly losing that composure.
You looked at him through the corner of your eye, your face never faltering from it's stoic front. He gulped, but continued "I lied to you. I thought you could never see me that way, so I was going to give lying to you one last attempt. If I failed, then you would know the truth and either accept me or reject me, but if i was successful.." he paused for a moment, his eyes beginning to out water the prison holding his tears back "then you would just roll your eyes and leave, and I would never bother you again. But I didn't consider the possibility of what could happen if you did return my feelings.. I'm so soo sorry.. I should have just told you the truth from the start." He took a shakey breath before finishing "I love you Y/N L/N. And I will never try to lie to you again."
You closed your eyes, continuing your stoic front until you heard Patton crying in the driver's seat. You could tell he wasn't lying, and so you began to nod slowly as a tear slid down you cheek. "I understand" you stated with just enough time for Patton to turn the engine off.
"Well kiddos, I'll get everyone out of the livingroom for you to talk this through, but both of you owe them an explanation once you are done." Patton said, turning to us. "Now let's go" we nodded in unison following the father figures comand.
