"Come on kid, just open your eyes for me."
Clint? Come on. Focus. Wait, I can hear? Sweet. I struggle to open them, but I manage to open my eyes.
Clint smirks at me. "Hey, kid. Come on sit up. Banners gotta look you over."
He helps me. Ow. I wince. My hands and back hurt. Bruce walks in the room. "How are you doing barton?"
Wait.. What? "Fine. But Im here for the kid now." Bruce slipped. What could he mean......? I don't care right now.... Bruce Must be given me a drip. He looks me over. He touches my hands. "P..please don't touch the merchandise." I stiffle a wince. But it slips out. Bruce then goes for my back. He puts something on it. The pain numbs a bit. I lay back down, suddenly tired. Clint takes my hand and strokes my hair. "You can sleep now. I gotcha little lady."
I fall asleep. Wait where? I'm back in the circus tent. Clints on a throwing board. Spinning around and around. The spirals on the board behind him captivate me. "Just take the shot, barton.."
"No."My breathing is hard. I jerk up, agitating my wounds. My hands are now in bandages, and probably leaving scars. "Hey Jo, you Ok? I'm here." Clint wraps me in a hug. "Can i get some food? I'm starving.." "yeah, I'll be right back." Clint walks out of the room. I'm alone. Not silence... "Just take the shot Barton, you know you want to." "No.."
I mumble. No. No. No.... I have to fight it. Fight-. " You can't fight forever."
Yes I can... Clint brkngs.back a ham sandwich. "Clint, somethings wrong.." Clint looks worried. He gives me the sandwich. I take a few bites. Somethings a bit off with it... about half way through it I cant keep my eyes open. My eyes start blurring. "Night Jo. Sleep well ok?" "Alright oldman-" My eyes close all the way. "Sleep sleep, my little sheep."
