The Avengers Childeren (Book 1: The Beggining)

4.Jayden-New Kids on the block

3 days. More like 3 minutes. Jeez time passes faster than high school here.
   
  Now we're just sitting here looking at our timetables. So we have a couple classes by ourselves, then it looks like we train together on Fridays.
     And it's currently Friday.

So we file into the gym. All the Avengers waiting. Cap speaks first.

"Today we will be testing your skills and abilities."

So they test us one at a time. But they have no idea were the midnight warriors.
   So we have a code 96 grey. Okay.

Harper is up first.

Now she relies on her paints and flight most of the time, she's also invuneral to anything, and well the Part cat part.
 
   She's fighting first with Hawkeye. They're pretty evenly matched. But Harper gets him down in maybe 15 minutes-? I can't tell, I'm really wrapped up in this Percy Jackson book.
   Harper comes to sit back down. My turn. I also have to go against Hawkeye.  It's like a stage thing. Well, I'm know for using fire and ice, but I can use any element really. And my force sheild.

  I imobilize Hawkeye with a rock hand immediately. He can't reach his supplies, and I've got a tight grip on him.

It's over quickly, Hawkeye didn't really give a fight anyway, I can dodge arrows, I practically lived with Jo for almost a year.

That's what you get for being gay I guess.

Skye also passes, but gets a bit bruised up. CJ doesn't find anything too hard to pass either, her nanotech is very cool lookin.

Haynes decided to do a mock up. She only used her bow, not that she has any other useful powers, other then the enhanced metabolism/healing. And she can unlock powers.

Of course she wins.

Next we go all go against Nat and pretty much pass. I may have gotten tazed- but other then that I'm fine.

We all then face cap, and are allowed to pair up if we need to. Harper and Skye team, so do CJ and I. The ginger twins for life!

Jo decides to go lone wolf. And she goes first. She gets cap on the ground, in 10 minutes. They're both evenly matched.

Then we break for lunch. As I'm standing across from Skye, I see his eyes turn aqua.

  Shit, Here?

  I gently guide him to a chair at the bar.  He's like this for a few minutes. Then he gasps and shivers.

"What did you see?"

Skye looks at me with genuine panic in his eyes, it quickly disappears. Replaced with a deeper understanding that I could only hope to comprehend.

"If I told you Jayden, it wouldn't happen. Plus, if I told you, I could alter your future."

I nod. Skyes not as lucky to have future vision as I had thought. It's more of a curse for him.

Tests are cut short. Some robots decided to attack the tower. And the Avengers had to go stop them.
  
Of course we decided to help, I mean, why can't we? Those assholes didn't tell us not to.

More bots appear. One comes up on Hawkeye, but I sheild him. He gives me a nod and goes to destroy other bots whilst I freeze thus one.
