A month later, start of September-

Briggs, Jakes and I were working on a case involving smuggling, we went in for the bust, Jakes stayed out as our backup, nobody was supposed to be there then, we were only confirming that the wherehouse was really where everything was being stored. I had split up from Briggs and went on my own into a side room, as I approached the back of the room I heard footsteps behind me, I could tell they weren't Briggs', I turned around I didn't move fast enough though, I felt myself be pushed and felt my leg hit the wall below the window.

Briggs POV-

I heard a crash of glass from the direction Mike went in so I headed that way, when I got into the room he went to there was nobody there, the window in the back of the room was broken where as all the others in the room had glass, since I knew that must have been what shattered I put my gun away and ran over and looked out, when I looked down I saw Mike laying on the ground on his back, he appeared to be unconscious. I ran out of the building and down to where he was, when I got there he was regaining consciousness, "Mike, what happened?" I asked him as I knelt beside him.

He winced in pain "I don't know....I heard footsteps then was pushed...."

"You must've fallen out the window. Did you see the person?"

"No. Briggs, I can't move....it hurts to much"

"Okay, don't move, you landed on your back, after a fall like that you could easily have broken something."

"Can I go to the hospital?" He asked.

I nodded "I'm not going to move you though Incase you did break something" I informed him. I took my phone out and called for an ambulance, after that I called Jakes and told him what happened. I waited with Mike until the ambulance arrived, while they were getting him onto a stretcher and into the ambulance I went to the truck where Jakes was waiting, we went to the hospital, we waited to learn what was wrong with Mike.
