Can We Please Talk

Luna's POV

The drive felt like hours but in actuality it only took a few minutes. Kate and Sarah were silence the whole way leaving me to be alone with my thoughts. Replayed the scene of Reid and the dumb blonde bitch only brought more tears to my eyes and more heartache.

When we finally pulled up in the schools parking lot. The girls offered to walk me back to my dorm but I kindly refused, I needed to be alone. Unfortunately they ignored my objections  and walked behind me in silence. 

"Luna" I heard a familiar voice call me. 

I turned to see it was Alex jogging up to me. Quickly I wiped my tears and took a deep breathe, but he seemed to notice that even in the dim lighting my eyes were still puffy and red.

"Are you okay?" He asked voice filled with concern 

"Yeah, I'm fine it's just... allergies" It was clear he wasn't buying "What are you doing here?" I asked changing the subject. I could hear Kate and Sarah chuckling behind me.

"I left the bonfire early and I saw you were heading towards the girls dormitory so I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask if you want to" he paused running a hand through his dark hair "hang out" 

"Oh." I could feel my face turning red "Sure."

He smiled "I was thinking Nicky's around seven?" 

"I'd like that" 

"It's a date" He turned away than paused "Hey what class do you have tomorrow?"

"Mr. Adison's lit class" 

His eyes brightened "Hey me too. Maybe we can walk together?"

I can still feel Kate and Sarah watching us intensely like we were a soap opera, but I ignored them as I shook me head to excited and nervous to speak. One of the hottest guys I've ever seen besides Reid Garwin had asked me out. The only thing that would make this moment better is if Reid was here watching this take place, but hey we can't have it all. I learned that almost an hour ago. 

"Great, I'll meet you at your dorm an hour before class starts. Maybe get some breakfast?" 

"Definitely"

Alex grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss. I could feel my face getting hotter and redder. My sadness and heartbreak now replaced with joy and butterflies. 

Alex gave me a quick wink before walking off.

Kate and Sarah waited till Alex was out of ear shots for them to giggle like little school girls.

"You haven't been here for 24 hours and already you got asked out by one of Spencers hottest guys" Kate said with a huge grin on her face.

I couldn't help but give a small smile feeling triumphant that I was going out with someone like Alex Blackwell asked me out. I knew I should have been ecstatic but my mind was automatically going to Reid and how this would make him feel?

My smile weakened and I could feel something tugging at my heartstrings. 

Kate and Sarah could see it in my eyes "Luna, forget Reid alright. He's not worth it" Sarah put a hand on my shoulder.

I sighed looking at the floor "You're right" 

"Of course I'm right" She smiled "Now get some sleep" she gave me a quick wink and a lightly slapped my ass before walking away. Kate gave me a quick hug and we said our good nights before they departed.

I face my door jiggled the handle to get my door open "come on" I say now ramming my shoulder against the wood "My father is paying good money" I said through clench teeth as I unsuccessfully slammed my shoulder against the door only creating a loud thud "The least" Thud  "Get" Thud "A damn"  Thud "decent" Thud  "Door" Thud. 

Another sigh escaped my lips

"Need some help?" I  shriek left my lips feeling my heart raced only to see Reid behind me standing a little to close.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you" I placed my hand on my chest calming my now racing heart while he reached for the door handle and started jiggling it and like me having a unsuccessful time. 

It was than he took a step back and took a deep breathe staring at the door. His eyes began to turn pitch black like Caleb's and the door swung open.

"Thank you" I mumbled under my breathe before walking in only to feel him follow me from behind. "No" I turned on my heals only to slam my body against his chest. 

"Can we please just talk?" He said almost pleading.

I inhaled sharply through my nose and held it before finally releasing it

 "You have five minutes"
