Karma's a Bitch

The car ride felt like a 3 hour trip even with Sarah and Kate trying to pass the time making small talking and gossiping about their fellow classmates.

I couldn't wait I felt like a little kid on Christmas who can't wait to tear open her presents. It was killing me.

I looked out the window until Kate turned her head to face me"Okay so I texted Caleb that we are almost there. He said they are right by one of the bonfires." she continued to text on her phone "He also said Reid is there but he is chatting up a few girls."

My heart dropped into my stomach as I looked down at my shoes as reality struck. From what Sarah and Kate have told me Reid had become a total playboy and when it came to women he had the attention span of a goldfish. He would talk to one pretty girl until a prettier girl entered the room than would lose all interest and talk to her.

I sighed thinking the worst. "Don't worry Luna you will totally capture Reid's attention" Kate patted my knee and gave me a reassuring smile. Not going to lie it kinda helped but I was still scared. Hell I was a lot of things; scared, nervous, excited.

It was than that I heard Sarah stop the car and put the car in park "Alright we're here" she turned and smiled.

I could hear my heart beating in my ears as the sound of car doors open I hesitated. We here parked in a woodsy area.

Oh yeah this doesn't scream horror movie like three defenseless girls in the woods.

"Okay the guys are near one of the bonfires" Kate said leading the way.

Sarah and I followed till we eventually heard loud music, followed by a bright orange glow. I could hear my heart pound in my ears as we got closer and closer to the flames.

"There they are" Sarah pointed out two men waving there hands. I slightly relaxed as I saw it was Caleb and Pogue. The two girls ran up to be with their men while I played the fifth wheel.

"Hey baby" Kate said kissing Pogue and Sarah followed suit.

I rolled my eyes. Definitely the fifth wheel.

I looked over at Caleb and with warm smile and nodded my head than turned my attention to Pogue who was looking at me with curious eyes.

"Hey Pogue, it's good to see you again." His curiosity now grew to confusion.

"Uh... again?" Caleb closed his eyes and pursed his lips trying not to smile. I bit my lower lip and tried to do the same.

"Fat Foster" I said, it was than that Pogue's mouth dropped and looked me up and down.

"No. Fucking. Way." Caleb finally exploded with laughter and I couldn't help but chuckle as Pogue continued to stare wide eyes as if trying to process what was in front of him.

Kate began to nudge him "Hey you have a girlfriend mister."

"No babe it's not that. It's just...." Pogue paused mouth opened "I got to go find Reid." Pogue took a few steps back "Holy shit this is going to be priceless. Caleb get out your phone I want to record this." Pogue start to run off like he was competing in an Olympic race. I would have laughed along with the group but my blood ran cold. He was going to find Reid.

I turned to try and make a run for it but Caleb blocked me "Relax Luna you'll be fine." he gave me that warm smile that always comforted me and I felt a little more relaxed, until I heard a voice that did not belong to either Pogue or Caleb.

"What the fuck Pogue I was just about to get that girls number"

"Reid, there's someone I'd like you to meet" I heard the excitement in Pogue's voice.

I swallowed my fear and turned my face to see the same blonde haired boy I saw walking down the hallway early, except he was wearing a black beanie, a black jacket followed by another orange jacket a white T-shirt and baggy jeans.

Reid gave a smirk as his eyebrows shot up. My body became absolutely frozen as the fear immediately ran through my body and my breath was caught in my throat. I could feel his crystal blue eyes gazing up and down checking me out. He walked up to me with such confidence.

"Well hello" Reid said taking my hand and bringing his face only inches from mine.

"Garwin." He lifted my hand and brought it to his lips and placed a light kiss on it never breaking eye contact "Reid Garwin" he lowered my hand but didn't let go.

"And what is your name beautiful." I gasped. Beautiful. In the past Reid has never used that word to describe me.

I could hear snickers which slapped me out of my trance.

Reid looked at Caleb and Pogue covering there mouths trying not to bust a gut "Caleb? What's going on? Why do you have your phone out?" he raised a brow

"Oh we just want to capture this beautiful moment" Pogue continued "Also Reid we got you this" Pogue handed Reid an open bottle of beer which he hesitantly accepted it. I knew what they were trying to do and I actually couldn't help but chuckle.

Taking a deep breath I said "My name is Luna"

"Luna" Reid smile looking me up and down once again "It suits you"

I waited for him to chug his beer and took a giant step to the left "But you may know me as 'Fat Foster'." It was then that Reid did a huge spit take like someone just knocked the air out of him.

Caleb and Pogue burst out laughing so hard that their eyes started to tear up "Please tell me you got that! Please tell me you got that!" Pogue.

I looked at Reid coughing and hunched over and stepped over to face him once again. Our eyes met and this time I was the one grinning and he was the one at a loss for words.

I lowered my smiling face so that it was at the same level as his. "Karma's a bitch isn't it Reid?"
