Chapter 3

Carla P.O.V.

We watched as Guzmán was lead to class by Samuel as a just in case against Polo. I made Lu wait a minute before we linked elbows and walked to class. I mean if I'm going to class that he sits next to that slut in, I might as well have backup.

We entered the class to see Samuel staring off into space while Rebecca rants to him about something boring. Guzmán super tense with a worried Nadia trying to talk to him. And lastly a very bored looking Ander being bugged by Valerio.

I took my seat in the middle of the room and Lu sat next to me. We sat and chatted while wait for the teacher to come in. I had a slight headache that was increasingly getting worse but it wasn't too bad.

I was staring at my desk when I heard a a crack. I looked up to see Guzmán standing over a bloody noses Polo.

"Oh my God Polo," Cayetana shrieks, "are you okay. Come on let's go sit down." The two of the sat down in the seats in front of me. Samuel walked Guzmán back over to Nadia and she and Lu tried to calm him down.

That's when I started getting dizzy. I gripped the table to stop the movement. Suddenly the world was spinning slowly going black and then I was out.

Samuels P.O.V.

I watched as Carla's hands started turning super white from gripping the table to hard, when suddenly she fainted and fell to the floor. I raced over to her as fast as I could. I picked her up bridal style and ignored everyone yelling at me. As I ran towards the nurse I could hear Rebe, Lucrecia, and Guzmán running after me trying to get me stop.The second I got into the nurse office she sprung up to help.

"Lay her on the cot" the nurse said

I did as I was told and laid her on the cot. The nurse started taking her temperature. When she determined she didn't have a fever she called her parents to have them come get her. The nurse sent the others back to class to inform our teacher where we were and what had happened but I stayed with her.

After ten minutes Carla began to stir and woke back up. I went over to her side and helped her sit up. She leaned into me still disoriented.

"Where am I?" She questioned, "What happened and why are you here?"

"You fainted in class and I carried you to the nurse." I responded carefully, not wanting for her to get angry because I really wanted to talk to her. "Your father's on his way, but I need to talk to you before he gets here."

"Talk" she responded shortly, clearly disinterested.

"I never meant to hurt you. I started off wanting to use you to solve Marina's murder. But the more we were together to harder I fell. I fell for you and I'm really sorry I hurt you. I hope you can forgive me."

Carla sat there for a minute silently. She finally looked me in the eyes and she had tears just threatening to leak. She took a deep breath and one tear fell, I quickly wiped it away.
