Chapter 7

Is it me or the sun shone a bit brighter this morning? I rolled in the covers tangling myself even more, I sighed. It's days like this you wish all could stay perfect and alright. I conversation last night was a blur but I remember that core-shaking kiss. I closed my eyes trying to feel all those emotion thrown in that kiss.

A knock interrupted the final touch. "Remey, you've got to get up, I need a girls' talk," I glanced at the alarm clock, 8:15. Only Hennessy could need a girls talk 8 am in the morning.

I groaned trying to send a signal not to come up.

Unfortunately, she came right in. "The torture! No stop , it hurts!" 

"Oh, hush up," she fanned me off.  I sat up in the  bed, my eyes roaming over to the spot last night. I smiled, "What's up" diverting my gaze from THE SPOT.

She hung her head loose smiling, "I kissed Castro,"
Honestly that gave me the little nudge to get out of bed, "What!?"

"I was at the office bring cookies and we had a small chit-chat, then one thing led to another and we kissed" She spoke a bit nervous and excited. Guess I wasn't the only one getting kissed last night.

Wait, wait Shit! I kissed Alec. No, No Hennessy's brother, am dead.

But she ain't gonna find out I guess that my subconsciousness talking.

My winging thoughts were interrupted by fingers snapping at me. "Huh?"
"Thought I lost you there" Henny smiled. I didn't know what to say to her,as I've never lied to her but if I told her the truth she'd hate me on the spot.

"So am guessing from the smiling you like Castro?" Hennessy shyly nods.
"He's my brother's best friend I-"

I burst out laughing the irony was killing me. "Continue" I spoke trying to conceal my laughter. She shook it off and continued " Alec would kill me if he ever found out, which he won't right?"
"Right," Still smiling at the irony. "So with that said, we are going to the store to get some grocery and maybe a movie?"

"Why?" I asked a bit curious. " We're having a movie night and I'm inviting Castro,of course"
I groaned as I fall back on the pillow.

"How many popcorns should I get? It has to be perfect," Hennessy asked. "You are such a perfectionist, you know that?" I replied slightly annoyed. "I've been told once or twice, yes".

We laughed as we stroll down the Isle. She had a long list and an even higher  expectations.
"Castro said he's at the house already," Hennessy said a bit too excited as she pushed her phone back in her back.

After going around the grocery shop twice you were ready to check everything one. Honestly I rather spend the day in bed eating ice cream and watch sappy movie alone, but because someone didn't want the maid to run the errands.

We were finally done checking everything and was heading back to the car.

The drive was silent on the way home well, silent for me. Hennessy spoke non-stop until we were in the driveway. 

We brought in the bags and I excused myself to call pop-pop. I got voicemail the first two times, I began to worry. Poor thing may have fallen down and can't reach the phone to answer. Third time was a charm. 

"Poppy , how are you?" I asked. I heard distant laughing,"Oh I'm sorry I was at the pool and the receptionist told me I had a caller, I am doing great. This hotel is awesome and the vacation even better," His cheerful voice sound pleasant. 

I missed him so much, my vacation was about me and him bonding but, Mr. Figuero had other plans.

"Okay, go have fun. Grandpa?" 

" Yes dear?" He answered. "I love you,"

"Always ,cupcake" I smiled and hang up the phone.

I made my way back into the kitchen and saw Hennessy and Castro engrossed in each other. " Guys please not today! I'm still here you know?"

"Sorry," Hennessy says, smiling.

"Sorry for what?" Alex appeared beside me causing me to jump bit startled. Everyone looked at him startled also.

"Sorry that Remedy didn't get to see that movie she wanted to see to- tonight, right" I laughed. I really need to get my laughing right. I rolled my eyes and agreed.

He was wearing sweat pant and a white tee shirt. The shirt hugged his body just right to make my imagination to run wild. I smiled to myself silently.

"So I suggested a movie night here and Castro here invited himself to our lil girl party,"

" oh, well you wont mind me tagging along right, Remedy?" he asked with a mischevious grin. 

"Not at all," I flashed the best smile I could muster up.

Later that day, we were all snuggled up in the couch watching Tall Girl. We all laughed and enjoy the movie. We had burnt popcorn from Hennessy.

Hennessy and Castro shared a blanket while I had to share with Alex. Alex shared jokes about the movie and I laughed. We were having a good time until the girl, Jodi kisses the tall dude Stig.

Alec started to rap his arm around me, I snuggled a bit closer to him. Today he smell like air freshener but I loved it either way. I laid my head on him feeling like sleeping.

I really enjoying my night not just because of the movie, but because of Alex. That night I realized a few things that my hand fits perfectly into Alex's also I may or may not have a little crush on this hot guy next to me.
