I heard tires slow down behind me and I turned around. Shit. It's Chases car and Noen is in the front seat. And.. Is that?... Avani? With Noen? Okay, not a big deal. Chase ran out of the car and came to me.
"Hi Vee!!" He said while rapidly waving his two hands.
"Hey Chase"
"So, how you holding up?"
"Terribly"
"Well that's not what I was looking to hear"
I scoffed.
"Listen, Vee. It's Noen. And you. It's just matter of time before he comes running back. Trust me Vee. That boy loves you. Whether he realizes it or not"
"Thanks Chase" I hugged him.
"Just give him some time"
I heard Noen drive off a bit ago, with Avani. Not gonna lie, I was jealous. But Chase managed to lighten the mood. He just like that, you know?
"Buuttttt.." He dragged out his word "you should come and hang with us. It'll be more fun than sitting in a field."
"I don't know Chase.."
"Come on! Please? I don't want you to be alone."
"Fine" I smiled and he stood up and pulled my arms until I was on my feet too.
"Yayay"
We started to walk to Noen's.

When we got there, we went in the front door and... What. The. Fuck.
"Not the best time is it?" Chase scratched his neck
"Ummm... No." Noen pulled himself away from AVANI. "Hi... Vee"
"Hi Vee. I'm Avani." She raised one eyebrow and forced a bitchy tone into the air. "Hey Chase!! Guess what?"
"Huh?"
"I'm Noen's girlfriend!" My soul was shattered into as many pieces as my heart was. My eyes fell on Noen. A tear, of his, fell from the bright round pool of blue that was in his eyes.
I don't care. I won't let myself care. I ignored him and walked past me the three of them into the kitchen, being as passive aggressive as I could be and started opening cabinets looking for food.
"Hey Noen" I called. "there's this thing called grocery shopping, maybe you should try it." He slowly walked in the kitchen and I leaned towards him, whispering, "there's also this thing called respect, and maybe you should try showing a little"
"Vee, I-" I perposely shoved my shoulder into his, being condesendant.
I walked past them again, and walked out the door and slammed it shut. That felt good.
