To be honest I was a bit worried about runing into her again. O didn't think it would be good for me,but only a week later I did. Again I was walking down the street coming back from lunch. I saw her but I couldn't cross the street so I had to walk right up to her.
"Oh hi" she said.
"Hey" I just stood there awkwardly for a moment. Then I guess she noticed something and cracked a smile.
"Wow Zack. 28 years old and still spilling food on yourself" I looked down and noticed I had a mustard stain. I smiled.
"I guess somethings never change. Where are you headed?" I asked.
"Right there"She pointed at a coffee shop. The same one that we used to go to in New York. "Wanna come with?" She asked.
"Sure. My lunch break doesn't end for another 20 minutes"
I laughed when we she still had the same order from over 10 years ago.
"So I saw you walking the other day but I don't think you saw me" she told me. Ops I guess she did see me.
"yeah I did too but I was late to work so"
"Oh where do you work exactly?"
"I got a job at big 6 studios" I explained.
"Film maker. Congrats!"
"What about you? Considering your living in Hollywood now I'm guessing your no longer working at that hospital"
"No um, I never got to work there I was going to replace one of the doctors who was retiring but it took me longer to finish med school them expected"
"well your a mom and wife. That's great!"
"Actually just mom. I'm not even seeing anyone actually"
"But I saw you...."
"That was Adam" I looked at her confused "Nick's ex boyfriend".
"Wait so he's..oh" awkward.
"Yeah he lives here too now"
"So what about your sons father?" I asked. I noticed how uncomfortable that question made her.
"Logans dad isn't really apart of our lives" she confessed
"I'm sorry"
"No. It's just better that way"
I just couldn't imagine it. Why someone would leave Jamie and their child?
Today I laugh at that question.
