I let out a happy sigh as I stepped out of the shower, feeling like a new woman.

My ankle was fully healed and I was walking normally again without hobbling everywhere. I could tell Yan missed carrying me though which I found cute.

I pulled on my bathrobe and wrapped my hair in a towel before walking out to Yan's bedroom.

I felt myself freeze when I found him sitting on the bed holding his diary in both hands...

He looked up, frowning at me. His eyes filled with...hurt.

My lack of reaction must have given him the answer he needed.

"I found it under the bed, right against the wall." He said standing up. "I know I didn't put it there, Y/N."

I swallowed hard; not knowing what to say.

"How much did you read?" He asked, sounding defeated.

I avoided his eye. "...All of it."

Yan let out a sigh as he sat back down on the bed, dropping his diary so he could put his head in his hands.

"Yan..." I began. "I'm sorry, I-"

"I'm not mad at you, Y/N." He interrupted. "You already know I never could be..."

I stood where I was in the middle of the room, not knowing what to do except wait for his next move.

"What did you think of me after you read everything?" He asked without looking at me.

"I read it on the day you rescued me, Yan." I said, trying to sound positive. "That was over a week ago..."

He looked up at me. "Yet you still stayed?"

"Granted, I didn't have much of a choice, but yes. Even if I didn't get attacked by that man, you were still going to offer to take me in until my parents come back."

Yan looked doubtful. "You're a psychologist, Y/N. How can I believe you're not telling me how you really feel?"

"I'm not a psychologist, Yan." I said shaking my head. "I might have a degree, but I've had little to no experience and I'm unemployed."

"Okay," He said. "Why not put it to use? What do you think of a guy writing about his feelings to someone he's too chicken to ask out?"

"I have to admit," I said with a small shrug. "I was concerned that you went out of your way to make sure that every boy who had a crush on me had their attention diverted to another person, but they do all seem happy with each other. Oscar is still enamored with his girlfriend."

He didn't seem convinced. "It doesn't answer my question. I did more than just match-make, Y/N. I got Osias expelled and that teacher arrested."

"And why was that?" I asked, feeling my inner shrink start to come out.

"Because Osias was violent. He was known for being dangerous and the whole school knew why he was suspended for so long...I couldn't bear it if he hurt you..."

"And Mr Rana?"

He took in a deep breath as his eyes narrowed with disgust. "He was disgusting...He knew you were underage at the time..."

He looked up at me. "When I found out he had other victims who he would seduce first and...you know... I wasn't prepared to let him take you next."

"You did the right thing, Yan, even if you did it for very different reasons. I have to admit, I was relieved when he was arrested and more than glad to see the back of Osias."
