Misaki shivered as a cool autumn breeze brushed against her cheeks, the one place she wasn't bundled up. She had just finished writing a song about autumn, but in a happy manner.

Some of the lyrics consisted of 'autumn brings piles of leaves, which means you can jump in them!'. Kokoro had said those very words out loud, and Misaki wrote them down.

Misaki clenched the lyrics in her hands, thinking about the time her and Kokoro had spent together. It was early morning, a weekend, and Misaki was actually going to go see Kokoro and try to make a tune out of the lyrics.

She walked up to the Tsurumaki residence and did a half smile. I wonder what kind of antics kokoro will lead me to today?

Kokoro opened the door with a wide smile. "MISAKI!!!" She jumped into Misaki, causing Misaki to step back.

"Kokoro be careful! I could have ripped these papers." She shot Kokoro a disapproving look.

"Oops! Well at least they aren't!" She said humbly. "Come on, come inside! Kaoru sent me some rhythms she played on her guitar!"

Ever since the day at the amusement park* Hagumi, Kanon, and even Kaoru had been pitching in ever so slightly to help Misaki with songs

(*band story 2 for those of you who dont know)

Misaki appreciated it greatly, given that sometimes writing down everything Kokoro hummed was extremely difficult.

Once the two were inside Kokoro's room, Kokoro opened her phone and started to play the music.

Instead of high energy, most of Kaoru's melodies were soft and whimsical. For some reason, this made Misaki realise just how close she was to Kokoro, and just how near their heads were as they both watched a small video Kaoru had made with different tunes.

Her face lit up like a light bulb, but she hardly realised it, until- "Misaki, you're radiating heat! Are you sick?"

Misaki looked over at Kokoro, who was now giving her a concerned look. "I-I.. it's nothing." She murmured.

Kokoro sighed, and jumped up. "Maybe all we need is a little something to wake you up!"

Misaki blinked, confusedly. "What do you mean 'wake me up'.. I'm already awake." She said bluntly.

"Well you need to do stretches in the morning so how about we do a little yoga?"

"Or we could just stretch..?" Misaki weakly protested.

Kokoro grabbed Misaki's shoulders and leaned forward so that the two girls' noses touched. Misaki was going to pull away until she realized Kokoro had a serious look in her eyes. "Kokoro..?"

Kokoro narrowed her eyes, Misaki assumed she snapped, and braced herself as she saw Kokoros mouth open to mutter something. "....do you know how to do jumping jacks?"

There was a long period of silence after those words, until Misaki burst out laughing. "Why s-such a- pffft~ serious look f-for something so s-simple~!" Misaki had to cover her mouth.

Kokoro looked a little upset and confused "I really dont know! I've heard people talk about it but I've never known-"

"You do them all the time!" Misaki stopped laughing, realizing how silly the whole ordeal was. "C'mere, lemme show you." She grabbed Kokoro's hand and positioned her in front of Misaki.

Misaki instructed her carefully, showing Kokoro arm movements and patterns until she finally understood the simple exercise. "See? Simple." She nodded, her voice returning to it's normal sarcastic tone.

"Yknow Misaki.." Kokoro had a warm smile on her face. "You really remind me of Michelle."

Misaki flinched. "I-I am-" she cut herself off, remembering that Kokoro wouldn't believe her. "What do you mean?" She corrected herself.

"The way you laugh.. it's just as cute as our loveable mascot's!" Kokoro's eyes shone. "And your voice was more.. hmm.. sympathetic..? Well maybe just more friendly." Kokoro nodded

Misaki felt a stab through her chest. Was that an insult..? Am I really that cold? "Well.. uh.. since I go to practice instead of Michelle, I teach her what we practice.. I guess it would be natural that I pick up her habits." Misaki shrugged, secretly feeling proud of such a believable lie.

"Misaki, you're really cute when you're laughing, y'know?" Kokoro said, sitting down on her bed, now crossing her legs. "Kaoru told me you were too, I guess I really didnt understand what she meant until now."

Instead of a smile, Kokoro had a determined look on her face. "Theres this feeling inside me, telling me to hug you over and over again, it makes me feel all happy too. Do you know what that feeling is?" Kokoro asked, her voice soft.

The afternoon autumn sunlight shone through the window, causing a tense feeling all of a sudden. A feeling that makes you want to hug someone.. uhm.. compasion? Sympathy.. "L-love?" Misaki rasped aloud.

"Love?" Kokoro's widest smile returned to her. "Yea! Love! What a happy word!" She giggled.

Misaki sat down next to Kokoro looking deep into her bright sunny gaze. "Do you know what people do that are in love..?" She bit her lip, trying to rationalize what she was about to do.

"No, I dont. What is it?" Kokoro cocked her head to the side like a confused puppy.

Misaki leaned forward, and kissed the blonde haired girl. The whole scene seemed to play in slow motion and the kiss was as sweet as honey.

When Misaki pulled away, Kokoros eyes were wide, but they weren't full of suprise, they were full of fulfillment. Was she expecting me to do that? "I'm sorry." Misaki whispered. "Its just-"

"So this is love?" Kokoro was looking just behind Misaki's head, out the orange-yellow window.

"I could really.. get used to this."

HI!!! sorry I havent been updating, ugh I have artist's block AND writer's block, and I've been missing school so a lot of makeup work. So I've been slowly getting out of bandori, (I still play the game but fandom wise) the community is quickly growing more and more toxic, and it's kind of disgusting in my opinion, anyways I hope you enjoyed this misakoko chapter~💕
