Did You Hear!? (MayaEve)

PasuPare was celebrating a successful show in a large rent out Building, where everyone that attended their show got a free pass to come to the after show party! Eve was sitting in the bathroom, she had changed into normal attire and was super worn out from the show. As she sat there she heard someone come in. She immediately acted as if she was on her phone.. maybe like an edgy teen trying to get away from people.

She held her breath when she saw what seemed to be Maya's figure in between the cracks of the bathroom stall. It was apparent Maya didn't know anyone else was in the room with her. "Sigh~ Everyone was so good today.. I wish I could move around a bit more sometimes though.. huhehe~! It was so cute when Eve came over to me and started dancing besides the drums though!" She was talking to herself while taking off her heels and putting on more comfortable shoes (at least that's what it looked like).

Eve found herself beginning to blush as Maya was talking about her right in front of her.. all she could hear was Mayas... should she say 'cute' laugh?. No matter how hard Eve tried to remind herself it meant nothing besides being a friendly gesture, she couldn't shake this heart pounding feeling.

"Maya.. what are you doing in here-?" A voice that sounded like Hina's came in. "I can hear you talking to yourself~! It's kinda funn— oh?" She paused, and Eve somehow felt Hina's gaze travel to the very stall Eve was in.

"What's up Hina? Weren't you making sure Aya didn't collapse? She seemed pretty out of it you know.." Maya said, turning to Hina, giving her a smile that seemed to say 'I'm tired too'.

"You know someone else is in here right? Oh but I can't tell who.. how embarrassing!" Hina giggled, and not long after that Eve felt her presence disappear, but mostly heard the door shut.

"N-not to be rude but.. who else is in here?" Maya said, from what Eve could see, her eyes were wide and face was a complete red mess. It made eves heart flutter, so she hurriedly pressed herself against the stall door so Maya couldn't see her. "I-Im your secret admirer!" Eve said, changing her tone to a lower pitch.

"Secret.. Admirer?" Maya gasped. "Well.. we're in a girls bathroom.. so I doubt you're a boy, but in that case it means..."

Maya paused for a long moment, before slowly saying with a shaky voice, "you're a girl..?"

Eve hated that she had to do this, but she didn't want Maya to know that she knew what Maya was saying about her. "I love how you play drums.. your personality really shines through and.. I love how different you are compared to the other Idols.." Eve murmured, all things were honestly true, even though she loved all her band members, she and Maya just seemed to get along better sometimes for some reason. "So Maya...? What will you say to my confession of love?"

Maya was silent for a minute, but then Eve jumped at the presence of the other girl leaning into the stall door as well. "To be quite frank with you S.A.... I must say you sound awfully familiar.. even so.. I have to say I cannot reciprocate your feelings, as I have my own crush.. If you come out I'll give you a free hug from yours truly!" Maya's voice sounded pretty nervous at the end, but as soon as Eve unlocked the stall, she heard a "woa-WOAH" and Maya came crashing in on top of her.

"A-ah..!! Oh my goodness l-look what I've done.." Eve said, in her usual voice, her eyes were shut tight as possible. When she opened them she was met with Maya's stunned blushy face. "It was.. ah.. so that's why it was so familiar.." she said, staring directly into Eves eyes.

Suddenly, the door to the Bathroom opened, and now it was Chisato. "Hey Maya have you seen Eve-" but she stopped herself before she could finish her thoughts.

"Ah! W-wait Chisato-Chan this isn't what it looks like!!" Maya yelped desperately.

The way Eve and Maya were positioned, as Eve could recall, was one of those very repeated poses in manga where the boy would fall on the girl and it'd look like he was pinning her down on accident. "A..Aya.. tell people not to come in here.." Chisato was looking behind her, a small smile on her face.

"But hold on! People need to use the restrooms!" Aya could be heard from down the hall.

"Looks like I've caused.. way too much trouble." Eve said even quieter, wishing she'd just come out when Maya walked into the room.

Later on, everyone was heading home after the long event. "Hey Eve!"

Eve turned around, holding her bag. She was half happy, and half nervous when she saw Maya. The two had avoided eachother for the whole night, and Eve recalled Aya, Chisato, and occasionally Hina-Chan, trying to persuade them to talk it out. "Is it about tonight? Yea.. I'm sorry I chose to Eavesdrop on you instead of telling you I was there..." she said slowly.

Maya shook her head, looking down. "I only stayed away because I had confessed everything to the one person I didn't want to confess everything to.." Her head raised to give Eve a Sympathetic but concerned look. "Did you mean everything you said? Or was that just a disguise to hide yourself?"

Eve chuckled, not really wanting to admit how much she cared for her bands drummer. "Well.. of course all of it was true! I care for all of Pastel Palettes, and you count too." She nodded, deciding that was the best wording.

"Eve. I'm going to tell you quick but,, don't tell any of the members okay?" She smiled and leaned in, however, Eve noticed tiny beads of sweat appearing on her cheeks. "You're my crush, b-but if that's not okay with you then I'm sorry!" Maya said, jumping back a bit.

Eve felt her face grow intensely hot as she responded, "H-huh!? Y-you.."

The two were quite for a long time until someone tackled Eve from behind. "WAAH-" She screeched, until she noticed it was Aya holding her waist.

"Im so happy you two are getting along again~~" there were tears forming in her eyes. "I thought you two might drift a-apart,, and th-then—"

"Hahaha! I already knew it was gonna work out~! I told you so Aya, you worry too much!" Hina interjected as she walked up to the two.

Chisato was right beside her, giggling. "After seeing what I saw, I thought we'd have a bigger problem on our hands."

Everyone laughed, but Eve couldn't help but think about how happy she was.

Japan was full of so many new experiences, and she'd never fell in love with a girl before!

"Yeah! It's okay Aya." She said, giving them all a soft and wistful look. "One could say that me and Maya are even closer now!"

She turned to Maya with a warm grin on her face, arms outstretched. Maya gave a flustered sigh, and walked up to accept Eve's hug.

I was writing KaoChisa but I just can't get a feel for the ship :( if any diehard Kaoru fans could explain it to me a little, I'd totally and hopefully be able to understand and write a fic!
