Chapter 8 - Ky vs Pyrrha

[Morning, RWBYK dorm]

As the sun's ray hit her slightly in the face, Yang opened her eyes tiredly and yawned, while stretching her arms out. She then looked around the room before she saw something on Ruby's bed that made her freeze in place for a few moments. She quickly scrambled for her scroll, with out waking up the others and quickly started taking some photos of the scene before her. After she took a few photos, Yang knew it was time to stop before someone could wake up. Quietly she hid her Scroll and laid back down on her bed, pretending to sleep.

Normally when Ky woke up, he always felt the need to stretch his limbs before getting out of bed. But this morning it felt different. There was an intoxicated scent near his nose. The scent smelled of roses and there seem to be a hint of strawberries, all in this one scent. Not only that, there was a great deal of warmth coming from the scent. The warmth did not feel wrong, no, it felt very right at the moment, almost as though it belong here.

'Wait..roses?'

At that moment Ky's eyes shot wide opened as he saw Ruby, in her pajamas, snuggled up to his side, with her face buried in the crook of his neck. Her blanket had been placed it over them, though it mostly covered Ruby. She currently had drool coming out of her mouth as she huddled close to him.

'...So, that wasn't a dream?'

[FlashBack, with Ruby Last night]

Ky and Ruby and stayed on top of the rooftop for a few more minutes, when suddenly Ruby's stomach started growling.

"Are you okay?" Ky asked her, with some concern.

"Yeah...I guess all that studying I did back in the room worked up my appetite." Ruby said, holding her stomach with an embarrassed smile.

"Well, in that case..." Ky said, as he stood up and held out his hand to Ruby. "Come on!"

"Huh?" Ruby asked, looking up at him with a look of confusion.

"I have a stash of cookies in my bag we could munch on together!" Ky said, gesturing to the door with his head.

Ruby froze at what Ky just said. "Huh?! YOU HAVE COOKIES?!" She exclaimed a little to eagerly, standing up immediately and getting close to Ky's face to the point their noses were touching.

"Uh... Yeah, they are. Chocolate-chip, I made them. Do...you wanna try one?"

Without so much as a word, Ruby grabbed Ky's arm and bolted back downstairs using her Semblance, leaving behind a trail of rose petals.

Once they got back to the room, Ky went over to his stuff as quietly as possible while Ruby waited for, lightly bouncing on the soles of her feet. Within a few seconds, Ky approached her with a bag of chocolate cookies with one already stuffed in his mouth.

"Here, try one," He said as he brought the bag to her. Ruby's eyes sparkle as she took one out, chewing it savagely and quickly swallowing the treat.
