You sighed, wringing your hands together and reaching up to press the doorbell of Lena's penthouse before dropping your hand and backing away. "Stop being a pussy, (y/n), just do it." You said to yourself, and pressed on the doorbell before rocking back  and forth on your heels nervously.

"Who is it?" You heard Lena ask, and smiled softly after hearing your favorite persons voice.

"(Y/n)!" You managed to make out from the other side of the door.

"Is everything okay?" Lena asked you, inspecting your face for any scratches or any signs that you were unwell. You suddenly felt a tinge of guilt seeing as it was after 12 am and you had bothered her at this time, but Lena seemed awake anyways.

Even considering the time, she looked as gorgeous as ever.

Your eyes raked down her body, clad in grey sweatpants, a hoodie that you had given her for Christmas (you apologized for not giving her anything grand but she claimed that she loved it and would wear it all the time), and her hair up in a messy bun. When you finally looked back up to her face, she wore a cocked eyebrow, questioning what you were doing, even though it was pretty obvious.

You felt a blush creep on your face, "I'm sorry for staring, you look beautiful."

Lena smiled at you and all was right in the world, "Thank you, (y/n). But you've not answered my question."

"Oh, uh - Yeah, um, I'm alright, thank you for asking. I - uh - I came to your penthouse because have a really important question to ask you and I've been wanting to ask you for a very long time but I just, I dunno. I guess I'm not sure how you'll react and, and I-"

"Hey," Lena spoke softly, grabbing your attention, and took your hand in her own and lead you to the couch so both of you could sit, "I promise I wont be upset or see you any differently. You know I wouldn't do that."

You nodded and Lena recognized a bit of guilt on your face that probably came from your assumption of her reaction, "Yeah, of course, sorry. Uh, okay, I came here because I was wondering if you wanted to go to lunch or dinner, with me. Or brunch! Breakfast, even. Whatever you want. But, like, alone. Not only you alone, I mean, just the two of us - god that sounds so weird!"

Lena chuckled softly and you snapped out of your ramblings, "What? I've made a fool of myself haven't I?"

"No," Lena smiled brightly and rubbed your knuckle with her thumb, "Of course not. I find your ramblings charming, to be honest."

You blushed and it only made Lena smile more, "Just wondering, have you come all the way over to my apartment to ask me on a date? And, is this a date?"

You bowed your head down and looked at your hands, they were in hers. You felt your heart skip a beat before you looked back at Lena, "Yes! I mean, I hope so. If you're okay with it being a date I would love that. I like you a lot, Lena, but if you don't feel the same that's totally fine and I completely understand and I can go ahead and leave right now and we'll forget all about -"

"May I kiss you?" Lena interrupted, leaving you dumbfounded as you blinked a few times trying to figure out if you'd heard her correctly.

"Can you kiss me?" You repeated slowly.

Lena nodded, "Is that okay?"

Your breath hitched and you nodded slightly, not being able to form the right words other than, "Yes."

Once she'd received consent from you, she brought her hand up to cup your cheek and pressed her lips against yours.

It only took a second for your lips to start moving in synch with hers, ever so gently. Lena was ravishing you and you were loving it.

Her kiss was intoxicating, her soft lips tasted like strawberries and you couldn't think of anything but Lena.

Just as your fingers tangled in Lena's dark hair, she pulled away slowly, not wanting to let herself get too carried away.

You caught your breath but your face wore a confused expression.

Lena caught it and was able to answer your unspoken question, "I don't want to let myself want to take this any further tonight."

You nodded your head in understanding, "Yeah, of course."

"Doesn't mean we can't tongue wrestle," Lena smirked.

"I suppose you're right," You chuckled. "But you never answered my question."

Lena smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, something you loved to no end (and she knew it), "Yes, (y/n), I would love to go on a date with you."

You let out a small breath and grinned, "Perfect."

AN - Hi, guys!! I hope you like this one! I really liked the concept. I'm writing another fic right now about being the Danver's younger sister her first game night, I might turn that one into a mini series but I'm not sure.
