Simons POV

"Come on Simon, to be a Shadowhunter you have to be able to hold the sword up for more than 2 minutes!" Jace says glaring at me.

After Jace disturbed Izzy and I's.....greeting this morning. I got dressed and went down to the training room. I knew Jace was going to train me hard but he was being...sarcastic, rude , and all the other things that Jace is. I thought Clary would intervene when Jace got to ruthless but no she just sat there and watched.

"I'm trying Jace, I'm only human!" I say dropping the longsword he handed me a few hours ago.

"Rule number 1. You are not a human but a mundane and don't call yourself that. I'm giving you this option now bloodsucker, do you want to become a Shadowhunter."

"Of cour..."

"That was a rhetorical question Simon! I know that you want to become a Shadowhunter that's why you're here! and by here I means the institute. That and isabelle!" Jace says slapping his hand against his head"

At this Clary laughs.

"Jace maybe that's enough for one day." Clary says still laughing.

"Ya, tomorrow Simon, 9 O'clock. I don't want to have to ummm, do what I did this morning." Jace says raising his eyebrows.

"What happened this morning?" Clary asks confused.

"I'll give you a hint," Jace states covering his mouth with his hand so only clary can see his mouth, " Caves!"

"Oh," Clary says and looks at Simon, "Sorry Jace ummm...intervened Simon!"

"You two are so alike, you both are always mocking me." I try not to smile but fail and stomp out the training room.

Jace's POV

"Ahh, I love teasing him so much."

Clary and I are still in the training room. Things win us have been going really well lately.

"If you keep teasing him like that your going to have to face Isabelle and her 7 inch heels!" Clary says but I can see she also like to tease Simon.

"And we wouldn't want that, would we Jace?" Clary says

I walk towards her and push her into the wall and press my body against hers. I can fell my heart beating rapidly in my chest. After almost 5 years of being together, she still makes me feel like this. I lean towards her and whisper in her ear.

"I love you so much."

"Jace, we really need to talk about something." Clary says pushing me away hard enough to get me off her but gently enough not to hurt my feelings.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

And just then Isabelle barges into the room. And by the look on her face she looks pleased to see that she's disturbed something.

"Mayrse wants us all in the library now!" She says and walks out the door

Clary and I glance at each other and follow

Clarys POV

I was just about to talk to Jace about the pregnancy when Isabelle barged in and said that we needed to go to the library immediately.

When we got to the library, Simon, Izzy, and Mayrse were already there.

"What's wrong Mayrse?" Jace asks as he guides us to a two sweater couch and we sit down.

"I'm not sure." She says, " Alec sent me a mail saying that they've got urgent news and that I must gather everybody in the library immediately!" I can see the nervousness in her eyes

At that moment Alec and Magnus come into the library. Alec got married a year ago and left the institute and went to live with Magnus. It was hard to convince the clave to let Alec leave the institute to marry a warlock and also to carry on fighting as a Shadowhunter. But luckily we had Robert to help because he's the inquisitor.

Alec looks around the room and his face drops.

"Dad?" He asks Mayrse.

"Sorry sweetie, he couldn't make it. He's busy with an important case in Idris." she replies.

"Oh well," Alec continues.

"So, you all know how happy Alec and I are," Magnus speaks for the first time.

"So we decided to take the next step in our relationship, Maxine come here please!"

Jace and I look at each other. Maxine!!!! Everyone else is also looking at each other.

A little girl, about 5 years old walks into the room. She has black hair, pale skin and a tail?

"Everybody please meet Maxine, our child," Magnus says grabbing Alec's hand.

Mayrse is crying and hugging Maxine, then Alec then Magnus very tightly. They adopted a warlock child. Isabelle and Simon hug Alec and Magnus and start asking the warlock child questions.

"Congrats you guys!" I say as a begin to cry and quickly run out the room. I run all the way up to my room and lock the door. I throw myself on to my bed. A place where Jace and I have lay so many times together, that's the thing that's got me in this mess. They've been married for a year and now they have a child. What's everyone going to think of me when I tell them in 7 weeks pregnant and I'm only 22 years old? What do I do! Jace and I aren't married and we certainly aren't ready for a child. All the tears come out then and my pillow is eventually soaked with tears when I hear a knock on the door followed by Jaces voice.

"Clary, Clary please unlock the door?" I can hear he sounds concerned so I get up and unlock the door.

"Oh Clary, what's wrong?" He asks when he sees my red eyes and snotty nose.

And I start crying again. He pulls me into him and just hugs me and I lay my head on his shoulder.

"What are they going to think of me Jace?" I say while crying, "they've been married for a whole year and they only have a child now..."

"Clary what does that have to do with you?"

"Jace, I'm pregnant!" I say
