Kao had enough of Pete being an ass and their friends always pushing him to make up with the jerk.
Rome already had his heart broken by P'Pick.
Old estranged friends meet again and a passion for photography and animals brings them closer again.

He'd cried for what felt like hours. Kao's shirt was stained with his tears but he didn't mind, he just hugged Rome while the later cried it all out. After all that pent up anger and sorrow, Rome thought he'd finally did it. He gave up on what should never had started in the first place. Whathe should've given up long time ago. He knew Pick was stupid and a jerk and he loved that jerk with all he had. It won't be easy moving on but he will try. He will try moving on with the strength he had left and he'd do it for himself.
He sat up straight and wiped his face. Pete offered him a water bottle which he gratefully accepted, realising how dry his throat felt. While drinking, he looked up at Pete who offered him a thin smile. It made Rome remember what Pete said to him earlier.
'I'm not ashamed of anything I did'
That thought alone made him smile. Sure this guy's still sneaky but Rome will reserve judgement on the coward part.
That's when he got up and grabbed both boys by arms. "Call Emma and May, I want ice cream" . .

"How much ice cream you think a tiny person can eat?" Pete whispered to Kao. Currently they're sitting in front of Rome, gawking at him going through his 5th serving.
"Why don't you pay for it. That'll tell ya" Kao snickered.
"Em.. I don't think I have that much money" Pete scratch his ear while Kao mumbled a very faint 'yeah right'
"I'm.. kinda not sure he knows he's eating like a buffalo" __Kao
"I'm not sure he remembers we're with him" Pete grinned. "Is that how people cope with.." he trailed off, nodding towards Rome.
"Yeah, ofcourse!!" Kao smiled mischievously, though he looked away from Pete. "You won't know"
Pete groaned. "I'm not some asshole-typish heart breaker you know. Why you think that"
Kao shook his head. "No that's not what I think" he leaned his head towards Pete, grinning. "I know for a fact, that you are a souless grumpy no good bastard" he poked his finger on Pete's cheek with every word. Pete rolled his eyes and grabbed it.
"You think very highly of me" __Pete "I know you" __Kao
"I ever told you how lovely you are?" __Pete
"Everyday" he grinned proudly. Pete smirked, eyes fixed on Kao's lips.
"Yeah...definitely lovely" Pete sighed. He bit his lips when Kao shoved his face away.
"Let go dumbass" Kao tried to free his hand but Pete held it tightly.
"Why're you whispering?" He asked softly.
Kao shrugged. "I don't know, why are you?"
They both shared a look and silently chuckled. Spotting Emma and May outside, Kao waved. "Maybe she can stop his ice cream massacre"
"Fat chance" Pete shook his head.
"I want more Ice cream" __Rome
"That's it. I'm outta here"
