Madnil Part 14

A month and a half passed Sriram had come to visit her two more times during making the film and they had to stay away from each other. Which drove them both nuts. They were getting ready to go to a party to celebrate the completion of the film. Then most everyone was heading home tomorrow. Madhuri was scheduled to fly out at 12 tomorrow afternoon. It was the last night she would get to spend with Anil. She put on a stunning red dress. It was slit almost down to her belly button and the hem stopped about 4 inches above her knees. She wanted to look perfect for Anil. She left her hair down and applied some light makeup and went to meet everyone in the hotel lobby. "OH MY GOD!!" Everyone said in unison when they saw her. "Madhuri if you don't mind my saying so you look hot!" Aksh said "Yeah, I think we can all agree that you look amazing" Ajay added. "It's sad when I'm half your age and you have a better body than me Madhuri!" Anushka added. Julie said complemented her as well and then they were off.

Anil helped Madhuri into the car and whispered in her ear "You look stunning tonight." she smiled at him, they arrived at the club they had competed in that dance contest at. They all ordered drinks, but before the drinks got there they were all on the dance floor. Aksh got to Madhuri before Anil could so he danced with Anushka for the moment while Ajay danced with Julie. After a couple of songs they switched partners, then a couple of songs later they switched again and Anil was finally getting to dance with Madhuri. "Have I told you that you're the most beautiful woman in the world yet?" "No, I don't think you have Mr. Kapoor." She giggled.

After dancing a while longer everyone stopped and went over to the bar to get the drinks they had ordered. The guys had ordered Beer and the girls had ordered margaritas. Madhuri took a few sips of hers then looked down at the drink. "Does this taste funny to anybody else?" she asked Anil took a sip of it. "It tastes fine Madhuri." "Are you alright?" "I don't know, all of a sudden I don't feel so good," she replied. "Kajol" she called "Will you go with me to the bathroom right quick?" "Yeah, sure" Kajol put her drink down and followed Madhuri there. When they reached it Madhuri thanked God there was no one else in there right now. "Madhuri are you alright you don't look so good?" Kajol asked " I... I don't know. " "I feel really stra..." Right then Madhuri ran for a stall and Kajol immediately held her hair back for her as she threw up in the toilet.

When she was finished Kajol helped her up and got her a wet paper towel. "Oh, I told you that margarita tasted funny." Before Kajol could reply Madhuri ran back into the stall with Kajol right behind her to hold her hair for her again "Madhuri we need to get you to the hospital." "Don't be silly Kajol this will pass" Madhuri replied. "Well if it was that margarita, you only took a few sips so you should only throw up maybe once more before it's out of your system." "If you throw up more than that we are going to the hospital." "Kajol I'm fine I feel better now." she insisted "Well alright then let's go back out and get you some sprite." "Thanks, Kajol." "Hey what are friends for?" Kajol replied.

They went back out to where everyone was and Madhuri ordered a sprite. "Are you ok?" Anil asked. "I'm fine I think it was just the margarita." After drinking about half of the sprite she started feeling queasy again and Kajol went back to the bathroom with her and held her hair while she threw up 3 more times. "All right that's it your sick!" "We are going to the hospital," Kajol said. "There's no need it's probably just the flu" Madhuri replied. "The flu?" Madhuri This is May! It's almost summer flu season has been over for a while we are going to the hospital!" "No I'm not Julie I'll be fine" Madhuri argued.

They walked back out and Kajol immediately went to the rest of the cast. "I need your help, Madhuri has thrown up 5 times in the past hour and she's refusing to go to the hospital." "Traitor" Madhuri mumbled, "All right come on Kajol and I will take Madhuri to the hospital the rest of you can stay and enjoy yourselves," Anil said. "No way!" Anushka, Ajay, and Aksh said all at once. "We are coming with you," Anushka said speaking for everyone. Madhuri was starting to feel sick again so Anil picked her up and they hailed to cabs. Before getting in the cab Madhuri got sick and leaned over and threw up in a bag Ajay had grabbed for her.

They reached the hospital and was immediately admitted. The doctors drew blood and started running several other tests while everyone waited. It seemed to be taking forever and Madhuri was going crazy! "It's just a bug or something she told one of the nurses." "I really don't think all of this is necessary." "Well, Ms. Dixit we want to make sure that is what it is and not something more serious." About an hour later the doctor who had admitted he came in.

"Well, Ms. Dixit we have the results of your tests back." "And what do I have?" she asked. "Well your pregnant, you're going to have a baby." the doctor said. Madhuri was shocked. "There's no way that's possible." "I've gone through menopause!" "I'm 51 years old doctor I can't be pregnant," she stated. "I assure you, you can." "As was explained to you when you started going through menopause you still will occasionally have a period." "Yeah, but I've been past menopause for years." "I went through menopause when I was 45." "Right, You went through menopause at an early age Ms. Dixit." "For some women when they go through menopause they will occasionally ovulate even years after menopause." He explained. "When was your last period anyway?" "Um.... About 3 years ago, and it was so unexpected I went to the doctor and they told me what you just did but they also told me that odds were that was definitely my last." Madhuri explained. "Apparently not Ms. Dixit because we ran the test 4 times you're pregnant." "Now listen to me when you get back to the states your going to have to get an amniocentesis done to see if there is anything wrong with the baby." "You also need to be advised that this is going to be a high-risk pregnancy your going to need to stay in bed a lot and not do much work." "Yes, I understand thank you." she said "Um can you send my friends in please?" she asked. "I sure can," he said as he left the room. She was extremely happy. "I'm going to have a baby!" She thought. Everyone walked into her room just then. They could see the change in her.

"Madhuri, your glowing!" Anushka said, "Does that mean everything's ok?" Kajol asked. "Yes, I don't want any of you to worry so I'm going to tell all of you what's wrong with me and this can't get out to the press just yet." "Madhuri, you're confusing us are you alright or not?" Anil asked nervously. "I'm fine, I'm going to have a baby." "OH MY GOD!!" Everyone screamed!! Anushka and Kajol immediately hugged her. Then Ajay, then Aksh. "We are so happy for you," Kajol said. Anil still hadn't said anything he was lost in thought. "was Madhuri really pregnant with his child?" he thought. "Um, guys I'm going to need a change of clothes. I think they are going to let me out of here tomorrow morning." "Give us your key and Kajol and I will go get you some clothes then," Anushka said. They got her room key and Ajay and Aksh started walking out. "You coming to Anil?" Aksh asked "I'll meet you guys back here. I'm going to keep her company while you all are gone." With that, they left.

Anil sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her. "You're pregnant with my child?" he asked It suddenly dawned on her that she wasn't sure who the father of her baby was! It could be Anil's or it could very well be Sriram's! Tears started streaming down her face. "I don't know, Anil." She started trying to countback. "Damn it I just don't know!" "He or she could very well be Sriram's and not yours!" She burst into tears. He got up and held her. He tilted her head upward and kissed her softly on the lips. "It's ok" "Don't get upset?" he said, "Don't worry about it right now." "No Anil, you don't understand." "Anil's going to know and he doesn't know about us he's going to 'know' the baby is his." "I don't know how I'm going to handle this." "Listen, Madhuri, we'll worry about that later, for now, can we just be happy that we could possibly be having a child?" he said. He held her close and kissed her tenderly. But both of them were trying to sort this one out in their heads...
