Sara POV
I hear my phone ringing, I look at the caller ID seeing that it's laurel.I roll my eyes, but answered anyway... "what do you want laurel?"
Laurel- "Sara omg I'm soooo sorry about yesterday... I was drunk I had no clue what I was thinking, I didn't mean anything I said I promise"
Sara-" look laurel it's fine ok? Wtv, it doesn't even matter anymore...u were obviously busy and I'm sorry for bothering you"
Laurel-" wait no Sara... hear me out, please? You didn't bother me.. I promise"
Sara-" look laurel, i can't do this right now... I have soccer practice in the next 10 minutes and I can't be late"
Laurel-"ok, can we talk later?"
Sara-" wtv, I have to go"

Sara POV
I walk into the house, so happy to finally be home from a long day at practice...we have a game in two weeks so we've been working extra hard lately. I walk up the stairs, dropping my stuff in my room... immediately going to the bathroom to take a hot shower. I am so tired I didn't even notice laurel sitting on the couch when I walked in the house.... (15 minutes later)
I walk out the bathroom and change my clothes, making sure to put on a long sleeve to hide my scars in case my dad comes home early...I then walked into my room when I saw laurel sitting on my bed.....my eyes widened " what are you doing here, aren't you supposed to be at oliver's?"
Laurel-" I wanted us to talk"
Sara- " can't we do this later? I just came back from practice and I'm really tired...today's been really rough...actually this whole god damn week's been rough"
Laurel-" I know your tired but I really wanted to apologize"
Sara-" you already apologized, over the phone remember?"
Laurel-" I know but I felt like you deserved a real apology...so I'm really really sorry for what I did and said last night"
Sara-" ok great... apology accepted, can u leave now?"
Laurel-" Sara don't be like that"
Sara-( I was furious)"don't be like what? You specifically told me if I needed your help or felt like I wanted to-"... suddenly there was a heavy silence in the air.
Laurel-" I know" she whispered
Sara-" you said you'd be there.. I needed you and you weren't there" I paused... tears started rolling down my cheeks🥺😭" I remember you saying that if I ever felt like the world was closing in on me again or that I felt like ( cutting, she whispered ) you'd always be there, do you know how hard it was for me to admit that I needed your help or that I wanted you here with me after everything? I held the phone in my hand for 10 minutes sitting on the bathroom floor all alone until I finally decided to call you... and all I got was a "god Sara, can't you ever do anything right? Your always calling and bothering me for every little thing...I'm with Oliver right now so I'm kind of busy... whatever stupid thing you did can wait, I'm tired of having to clean up your mess" then you just hung up on me..how do you think that made me feel?"
Both sisters have tears running down their faces, laurel looking at Sara.. while Sara is just looking down at her feet.
Laurel- " I know, I let you down... I can never apologize more for that but Sara please forgive me, I'm begging you i promise I'll make it up to you"
Sara- i finally looked up at laurel " you shouldn't make promises you know you can't keep... plus it doesn't matter anymore.. you came to apologize, so apology accepted"
